Based on our theories, we build seven indices. From the viewpoints of financial data and how those engaged with Japanese universities judge it, we use accessible data to build the indexes that allow us to determine whether a university concentrates on educational or advertising activity. We create the subsequent indices:

This index shows the degree to which a university prioritises educational activity in relation to revenue from educational activity. A university's educational activity is indicated by its index score if it is lower than that of other private universities.
The percentage of tuition in the overall revenue from educational activities: divided by the total amount of tuition that students have paid The total revenue from educational activities is: The index used to measure how heavily a university depends on student tuition is shown below. The university may have revenue sources besides student tuition if this index is low.
It would be preferable from the students' point of view if a university decreased this index.
