Fried Tilapia Bento and Monbento Box Review. Monbento, a French bento box company, sent me one of their bento boxes to review.
As you guys know, I have a very ridiculous bento box collection, so it can actually be quite tough to impress me when it comes to boxes. Luckily for the monbento, it’s got some extra flair to it that makes it stand out from the rest. Video: How to Make an Airplane Onigiri. Since I’ve taken up eating a salad for lunch practically every day now instead of a full-meal bento, I really haven’t had much to post, so I figured little tutorial videos for bento components would be a great thing to add to Adventures in Bentomaking.
Earlier in the year I received a batch of items to review that I never ended up having time to do. I’ve used the airplane from one of the items, the Boy Onigiri Shaper set, to make this video. A couple of quick things to note before I get to the video, there are some prep items that I don’t address, including: Coloring the rice – Add 1 drop of desired food coloring to 1 tsp of water. Drip the mixture into your rice as needed, being careful not to add too much water. 2012 Halloween Picnic Bento. Yesterday was a family picnic event at Buddy’s school where parents bring lunch to school and do activities with the kids.
You may remember that I did this before with Baby Girl. Now it’s little brother’s turn! Ever since he saw my photo in the Star Advertiser last week, he’s been telling me (not sure why me) that I’m “famous with bentos” and he’s been telling me which bento from Yum-Yum Bento Box he wants for lunch. He requested Maki’s chick tamagoyaki the other day and for Friday, he requested my Miss Octopus. Buy Yum-Yum Bento Box! First day, I made them spam musubi bentos, though I haven’t processed those images yet because I wanted to get this Rilakkuma one done so that I could post a quick review of the box, which was sent to me by Modes4U, a site that sells cute bento boxes. As you can see, I made Baby Girl three sandwiches, which were a little less than a full sandwich. FYI, the bread that my household eats almost exclusively is Roman Meal Honey Oat. I found out after I took these photos that this set comes with a bunny rabbit too.
