Knitted Neck Scarf. Cherry Blossom Handprint trees | IShareCrafts. Yo, check out my tatts… Hey, this is Alison I have to break in because I am so excited that we got her back! Remember Amy from the reverse matting post? She has this amazing talent that I didn’t even know existed. When she told me she was a ‘tatter’ a bunch of things ran through my head and tying knots was not one of them! I don’t want to give it away, so take it away Amy… I’m a tatter.

Tatting requires a ball of thread. The first is a tatting shuttle (or needle, but I’m a shuttle girl) and the second is a pair of scissors. Tatting is essentially a series of 2-part knots in thread. This picture below does a good job of showing the different parts of tatting. With just one kind of knot, and three different things to make with that knot, how hard can it be to tatt? Well, don’t start with this: My favorite thing to tatt are snowflakes for one of my Christmas trees. I figured out the pattern for the daisys that join the body of the piece and inserted them in the holes. Do you feel educated now? Like This Post? Ruffled Cinch Bag {Mini} Tutorial...Cutest bags EVER!!! It's okay, take a minute and just enjoy the cuteness of it all! I still giggle every time I see my girls sporting one of these. Best part??? Each bag cost me less than $1.50 to make.

So here's the story quickly... Loved it, ordered it. Had a trip to Sea World with my two super-cute nieces planned, thought "How cute would it be to have those little munchkins running around Sea World with their own little ruffled bag to tote a few goodies in? " Loved the idea-so excited, got all the supplies needed...ran out of time before the trip to get them made...bad aunt and mom! Did however get them made after we got home. Seriously, super easy, and the compliments we get! Here's the skinny on making one for your little munchkin: Small piece of muslin to make the bag *Mine were 20 x 14 inches 1 XL plain T-shirt for the Ruffles *I bought X-LG t-shirts from my local Dollar Tree, one shirt easily covered one bag in the size I cut. Matching ribbon for the ties *I used about 8 ft of ribbon per bag That's it!

Ric Rac, Burlap, and Felt accessories in 15 minutes. For some reason, when it comes to autumn, I HAVE to dress in autumn colors. I look at my closet and can’t fight the feelin’ to wear warm, fun, seasonal colors. I also love accessorizing in the fall. This is not a normal thing for me. I’m just a keep-it-simple dresser. The other seasons don’t inspire me the same way. This year I’ve been having so much fun making things to wear. Last weekend my friends (YO HENS!!) There are tutorials all over the internet on how to make these.

Take a look, you’re going to love these! I think this one had to be my favorite. Check out some of the other flowers we made! Don’t I have talented friends? Moving on to burlap. Okay, the burlap flower below still needs work. But I can’t leave you with that uninspiring item. Yummy, right? {We’re linking up to these parties!} Amy is keeping it real enjoying ( mostly :) ) four kids, one husband and a busy life. Like This Post? CRAFT.
