Specific Study Away Program Applications Exchanges National Student Exchange (NSE) Priority placement applications are due February 23, 2015 for the following fall and spring semesters. Post-conference applications will be accepted until June 1 with a late fee required. International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) Exchange applications are due to the UAS Academic Exchange office by February 9, 2015 for the following fall and spring semesters. Open communication will make all the difference in a smooth transition to your new home as well as obtaining the courses you need, arranging airport pick up, meeting other students and more. By Air or By Sea If you don't know yet, you can only travel to Juneau via boat or air plane. The Alaska Marine Highway system is a ferry boat option that travels the waterways throughout southeast Alaska and north. Alaska Airlines is the only passenger airline carrier into Juneau.

This is where the knowledge of scholarships, grants, and fellowships become increasingly valuable. Unlike loans that you will have to pay back, scholarships, grants, and fellowships are fully funded by the sponsor and don't require you to pay them back. Applying for such financial aid sources is a process that can ease your financial woes. Scholarships Though scholarships may be offered directly through the university's Financial Aid office, they may also be found through a funded or private source such as a local business, organization, or church. If you have not yet spoken to a Financial Aid representative at the university make it a priority to set up an appointment and discuss your options. Then look into other avenues through your host university or the administrative program.
