8-Bit Dr. Horrible is a re-imagining of Joss Whedon 's musical tragicomedy as a theoretical classic Nintendo game. The animation follows the exploits of Dr. Horrible trying to get in to the Evil League of Evil, accompanied by an equally diabolical 8-bit arrangement of the soundtrack, available for free mp3 download. The project received praise via Twitter from Felicia Day , Neil Patrick Harris , and Maurissa Tancharoen , as well as celebrity gossip extraordinaire Perez Hilton and the Whedonesque community.
