Google Releases App to Bring Live TV to Android TV. When you’ve got a set-top box for your TV, you might want to watch some live TV, right? Google hasn’t said much about Android TV’s live capabilities, but a new Google-built app appeared in the Play Store today that promises the ability to watch traditional TV channels using a traditional or IP-based tuner. First spotted by Android Police, the app doesn’t seem to do much right now and isn’t compatible with phones or tablets. In fact, it currently can’t be opened on Android TV.

There’s no mention of traditional TV watching on the Nexus TV website, nor are there any accessories that would allow you to get a TV signal into your device yet, however this is a good sign it’ll be landing soon. ➤ Live Channels for Android TV [Google Play] Amazon Now Offering 4K Streaming For Movies And TV Shows On Prime Instant Video. Among the newcomers are choice internet slang for Instagram users like lolcat, duck face and man crush. Gamers get their spotlight with the additions of reswpan and permadeath. Then there are other highlights like Secret Santa, ‘the ant’s pants’ and Obamacare.

It’s important to note these additions aren’t actually being added to the Oxford English Dictionary tome you might be thinking of. That book is meant to be a historical record covering the ‘core’ words of the English language. For its website, the group instead collects examples from about 150 million words from various souces. For instance, duck face usage is up 35% this year versus the previous.
