From what I have noticed, the word differences along 'religious-cultural' lines have largely to do with food, ritual, and kinship issues. In the realm of food, besides jol and paani, there is noon and lobon, mangsho and gosht (?). As far as kinship goes, there are differences but some of them have been evolving or remain contested. The dialect issues are far more complex.
