Drop cloth curtains. DIY Drop Cloth Curtains. With the iron on medium heat, I adhered the sticky side. Once the hems were finished, I added a 6" stripe with matte Chocolate colored fabric paint. Then when we came home from our trip back to our hometown, we brought back with us our newly recovered couch pillows, here. That little change must have stirred something inside us to complete some more updates. We started with more seating. However, we soon realized that in order for both the couch and the love-seat to work in the space, we would have to do a little rearranging.

So, I decided to try sewing some drop cloth curtains. I simply bought two 6×9 drop cloths for each of my three windows. So far, I’ve completed two of the six panels. I am making all curtain rods the same length and hanging them at the same height so that three windows of different shapes and sizes appear the same in the room.

These are cotton painters dropcloths. Measuring five feet by nine feet. I purchased each "panel" at Lowe's. About $10.00 each. Then I machine washed and dried them on hot and ironed the "valance".
