Wim Wenders to make 3D Documentary on Architecture | ArchDaily
© European Parliament / Pietro Naj-Oleari, 2010 Since Wim Wenders ’s new documentary “ Pina ” hit the theaters this month, the online world hasn’t stopped talking about the German film director’s plan to create a 3D documentary film on architecture. In a recent interview with the Documentary Channel , Wenders revealed his plans stating, “I have actually already started a long-term project, another documentary in 3D. It will take several years, but it’s going to be about architecture. I have always wanted to do a film about architecture, and I have a lot of architect friends.

In the course of an invited architectural competition for a highway service area, a proposal of the young architectural office from Grisons Iseppi-Kurath was selected as the winning project. The design of the two architects achieved to translate the theme of the “window towards the region” with a complex layout and in a consequent and exciting fashion.

Verde Sobre Gris – Cubiertas Verdes para Buenos Aires | Plataforma Arquitectura
Hace un tiempo publicamos en Plataforma Urbana sobre un proyecto de cubiertas verdes para Buenos Aires que en su momento fue ganador regional de Holcim Awards 2005 .
Una geometría sencilla en planta para un edificio perfectamente funcional. Las ondas de la cubierta son agua, tema central de la Exposición Internacional de Zaragoza ( Expo Zaragoza 2008. Agua y Desarrollo Sostenible ), acontecimiento que ha de cambiar radicalmente la fisonomía de la ciudad. Los tres principios básicos del diseño de Vidal en este proyectos son: Flexibilidad : módulos estructurales independientes mantienen una fuerte identidad arquitectónica durante las distintas fases del desarrollo. Claridad : el proceso de facturación (check-in), control de seguridad y embarque es articulado por la propia arquitectura.
