Тим Дейcи (Tim Daisy) — чикагский барабанщик, участник Vandermark 5, лидер собственных проектов Vox Arcana, New Fracture Quartet, The Tim Daisy Ensemble, Falling Sky Quartet, Dragons 1976, выступает в формате саксофонно-барабанного дуета с Кеном Вандермарком. Также выступал вместе с Петером Брёцманном, Фредом Андерсоном (Fred Anderson), Джо МакФи, Ингебритом Хакером Флатеном (Ingebrigh Haker Flaten), Полом Нильсеном-Ловом, Робом Брауном (Rob Brown), Джебом Бишопом, Кайлом Брукманом (Kyle Bruckmann). Кен Вандермарк (Ken Vandermark) — выдающийся американский саксофонист и кларнетист, один из немногих джазовых музыкантов — лауреатов Премии МакАртура (часто называемой Премией гениев). Кен Вандермарк — лидер, вдохновитель и участник множества проектов, среди которых Vandermark 5, Territory Band, DKV Trio, FME, Spaceways Inc., Sonore, AALY, School Days, Free Fall, Peter Brotzmann Chicago Tentet и множествo других.

Mark Nauseef — американский барабанщик и перкуссионист, автор песен, сотрудничавший со многими известными исполнителями со всего мира. В 1972 году Носиф как гастрольный участник играл в The Velvet Underground во время турне по Великобритании. В декабре 1974 года присоединился к группе Ронни Джеймса Дио Elf, с которой записал альбом, после чего была расформирована.

By Stef Swedish saxophonist Mats Gustafsson is without a doubt one of the most forceful players ever, combining a ferocity that surpasses Brötzmann with a technique equalling the best and adding an emotional howl that is his unique signature. He is on top of this a real music lover, collector of music in all its diversity and form, interested in new things, quite respectful of the jazz ancestors and his great favorite musicians, such as Don Cherry and Albert Ayler. If Vandermark makes it often a must to put all his weight in composition and in technical complexities, Gustafsson is more of the expressionist, simplifying his music to the most direct and authentic form, and putting all the emphasis on raw yet subtle emotional delivery.

The post-New Thing lineage is a sacred thing. In the fields sown by Ayler and Coltrane and Sanders and Shepp, the music free and flowing without ego but with purpose. It's a judgment call of course, but the proponents are arguably few. Without attaching too many words to it, it's a style of playing that s something spiritual, something other, a connectivity between the players and with the listener. And without overly delineating who's in and who's out, it's certain that Gayle is a master of the form. Deeply committed to free improvisation and the jazz tradition in all its manifestations, Gayle is a blazing saxophonist, a fluent pianist and, has more recently been playing the double bass.
