Scene3. Dream. Dreams mainly occur in the rapid-eye movement (REM) stage of sleep—when brain activity is high and resembles that of being awake.

Dream

REM sleep is revealed by continuous movements of the eyes during sleep. At times, dreams may occur during other stages of sleep. However, these dreams tend to be much less vivid or memorable.[3] The length of a dream can vary; they may last for a few seconds, or approximately 20–30 minutes.[3] People are more likely to remember the dream if they are awakened during the REM phase. The average person has three to five dreams per night, but some may have up to seven dreams in one night.[4] The dreams tend to last longer as the night progresses. Opinions about the meaning of dreams have varied and shifted through time and culture. Cultural meaning[edit] Ancient history[edit] The Sumerians in Mesopotamia left evidence of dreams dating back to 3100 BC. In ancient Egypt, as far back as 2000 BC, the Egyptians wrote down their dreams on papyrus. Classical history[edit] Johann_Heinrich_Füssli_053.jpg (JPEG Image, 2473x3106 pixels) - Scaled (20.

Scheme. Interactivity ? What is interactivity? - Definition from WhatIs.com. In computers, interactivity is the dialog that occurs between a human being (or possibly another live creature) and a computer program. (Programs that run without immediate user involvement are not interactive; they're usually called batch or background programs.) Games are usually thought of as fostering a great amount of interactivity. However, order entry applications and many other business applications are also interactive, but in a more constrained way (offering fewer options for user interaction). On the World Wide Web, you not only interact with the browser (the Web application program) but also with the pages that the browser brings to you.

The implicit invitations called hypertext that link you to other pages provide the most common form of interactivity when using the Web (which can be thought of as a giant, interconnected application progam). In addition to hypertext, the Web (and many non-Web applications in any computer system) offer other possibilities for interactivity. Interactivity. Across the many fields concerned with interactivity, including information science, computer science, human-computer interaction, communication, and industrial design, there is little agreement over the meaning of the term interactivity.[1][2][3] Multiple views on interactivity exist. In the "contingency view" of interactivity, there are three levels: Noninteractive, when a message is not related to previous messages;Reactive, when a message is related only to one immediately previous message; andInteractive, when a message is related to a number of previous messages and to the relationship between them.[4] One body of research has made a strong distinction between interaction and interactivity.

Human to human communication[edit] Human communication is the basic example of interactive communication which involves two different processes; human to human interactivity and human to computer interactivity.
