Hope it help, Windows Server 2012 : Remote Desktop Service. Mon blog-note: Configuration d'un broker de session TSE. Step by Step Windows 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Services – Part 1. A step by step guide to build a Windows 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Services deployment.

RD Connection Broker: Remote Desktop Connection Broker (RD Connection Broker), formerly TS Session Broker, supports session load balancing and session reconnection in a load-balanced RD Session Host server farm.
RD Connection Broker is also used to provide users access to RemoteApp programs and virtual desktops through RemoteApp and Desktop Connection. If the RD Connection Broker Load Balancing feature is enabled, RD Connection Broker also tracks the number of user sessions on each RD Session Host server in the farm, and redirects users who do not have an existing session to the server with the fewest sessions. This functionality enables you to evenly distribute the session load between servers in a load-balanced RD Session Host server farm. Windows Server 2012 : Remote Desktop Service. There two things that you will need in place before you start your stop watch: Publish Remote Desktop Session in a Remote App Session Collection – Ryan Mangan's IT Blog. Remote Desktop Services 2012 allows you to publish two types of Session collection on a Remote Desktop Session Host.
This can be either a Remote Desktop Session Collection or a Remote App Session Collection. By default you cannot have both types on the Same Session Host. In this post I am going to show you how to configure the Session Host to show both types in the same Session Collection by making a change to the registry. You can also create a shortcut using MSTSC which is shown in the following article (Click Here) Please see the section on Adding Remote Desktop Session to a Remote App Session Collection. Remote Desktop Gateway on the Windows Server 2012 R2. Lately a lot of people love to work from home a day or two a week or if they have some kind of private obligations sometimes it is easier to access the work environment from home.
To securely access your work computer or Remote Desktop Session host servers in your company data-center Microsoft created Remote Desktop Gateway role that basically is a secure tunnel that allows you to access corporate servers. Installation of the RD Gateway server was more or less straight forward in Windows Server 2008. In windows server 2012 R2 seems the things are pretty complicated.
Mise en place du session broker avec HA sur Windows Server 2012 – Le cloud de Piermick. RD Connection Broker HA – SQL Permissions. I've received some questions via e-mail on one of my previous posts on how set up High Availability on the Connection Broker in Windows Server 8 (Beta) The questions were related to preparing the correct (SQL) permissions to be able to enable High Availability using the Server Manager wizard.
In this blog post I’ll dive a little deeper in the SQL permissions part. But before we get started, since we’re dealing with beta product and since there is no official Microsoft documentation on this exact configuration yet, this blog post contains my personal thoughts on what I think the configuration should be. The prerequisite that refers to the SQL permissions is explained by the setup as: “A Microsoft SQL Server with write permissions granted to all RD Connection Broker servers that will be part of the deployment.” But what exactly does that mean? “The database specified in the database connection string is not available from the RD Connection Broker server <servername>…” Bottom-line:
The Microsoft Platform: RD Connection Broker HA – SQL Permissions. Server 2012 HA Connection Brokers Setup "Could not create the database" Hey all! We have a 2 node failover cluster running SQL2008R2, on there i created a instance for my 2 server 2012 connection brokers. When i try to configure HA on the connection brokers is get the following error in the HA Wizard: Database Creation - Failed: Could not create the database 'RDSFARM01'. The log files also show the following error: The Remote Desktop Connection Broker server could not install the database named RDSFARM01 by using the connection string: DRIVER=SQL Server Native Client 10.0;SERVER=SQLCL01R05\RDS;Trusted_Connection=Yes;APP=Remote Desktop Services Connection Broker;DATABASE=master.
The database name in the connection string is shown as [master] because in order to create a new database with admin specified name, a connection must be made to master database. Both nodes have DB Creator and DB Admin rights on the SQL Instance. I been looking arround on google and Technet forums but can't find any solution, i hope someone can help me over here. Thanks! Erreur à l'installation du rôle service Broker - TechSpaceTechSpace. 2012 r2 Server Manger cannot manage RDS: Collections, Host Servers, and Connections won't display. Hello, We have a 2012 r2 server running RDS publishing a number of RemoteApps.
When we go to the Server Manager and drill down to the Remote Desktop Services area we are seeing a number of the sections that will not display their information and we can no longer manage RDS via Server Manager. Starting at Server Manager\Remote Desktop Services\Overview the "Deployment Servers" window shows a red banner with "Could not refresh the list of servers" Going to the Server Manager\Remote Desktop Services\Collections, all three of the windows, Collections, Host Servers, and Connections will eventually display the similar type of error message, stating to check the status of the services for Remove Desktop Connection, Windows Remote Management and Windows Internal Database. The server is fully patched, event logs don't show anything of note. Deploying Remote Desktop Gateway RDS 2012. TS Gateway Certificates Part II: How to deploy a certificate on TS Gateway - Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services) Team Blog. For information on why TS Gateway needs a certificate and which is the recommended certificate to use on TS Gateway, see the first post in this series. To deploy a certificate on TS Gateway server, you must have the server certificate (and private key) contained in a file. You must also have access to the Certificates snap-in and have it set to view computer certificates from the local computer (though this can be done remotely).

Step by Step Windows 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Services – Part 2. A step by step guide to build a Windows 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Services deployment. Part 2 – Deploying an advanced setup. In part one I detailed how to do a single server installation. In case you missed it, or want to check it out, look at this post: RDS8 - Gateway and Certificates on Windows Server 2012 - Concurrency, Inc. As the name implies, Remote Desktop Services is a way of delivering services for desktops that are not “local”.
However, the Quick and Standard deployments of RDS do not include a key component that makes these services available from outside your organization: the RDS Gateway. This role is acts at a proxy over HTTPS to allow a client to tunnel over SSL to your internal resources, limiting exposure and securing communications. In Server Manager, if you want to deploy a separate server for the RDGW role, you’ll want to add that new server to the console which is already managing the rest of your RDS environment. I like to use the manager on the RDCB for this, but any Server Manager console that is managing all of your RDS hosts will work just the same.
In this example I am going to be adding the role to the same server that is already running the RDWA role, so the RDGW and RDWA will be on one server. Pick a DNS name that clients will connect to in order to use the Gateway. Step by Step Customizing RD Web Access 2012 R2 – Part 1.
