And an additional mouth meant no meals for me for the next 3 days. But I couldn't stand it thinking about a newcomer eating alone on her first day in work. So I looked inside my wallet, drew out my rosary and prayed for a miracle. It was the best birthday celebration ever. I know from the looks on their satisfied faces, the blissful smiles with meat stuck in between their teeth and by the way their bellies sagged and their feet hugged the way back to the office. That was the scene 3years ago and that's my imagination talking in the last sentence.

Gem couldn't stop laughing upon hearing this confession and she recounted that the lunch was not that good either. The word was "zoom". Easy, right? Not so much for me.... Do you go with zoom like "zoom-zoom" for a car? That's what I thought at first and sketched and water colored a little car.....Meh. Or how about zoom as in "zooming in" on something? So, I gave up. Then this weekend, I picked up a book I'd had on my nightstand for a while by J.I. And here's the colored version via Photoshop Elements. There was so much I liked about Packer's essays. But, finally, the part that has stuck with me most from my reading is from the very first essay on "I believe in God. " And I even like it printed! Creative Chaos. So....the other day, I informed Michelle that as Head Designer, President and Glitter Czar of the Paper Tales Design Team, I was going to do a fun journal cover tutorial for the store.

She glanced up from her computer and said, "we don't have a design team. " I promptly responded, "yes, we do. " To which she responded, "no, we don't. " To which I reminded her, "yes....we've always had a design team. " "Since when? " "Since yesterday when I started it. " "Who's on it? " "Just me.
