Then say goodbye to your old grocery bags by melting them into something cute. Afterall, plastic is the new plastic, right? Skill Level: Beginner to IntermediateNeeded: * plastic grocery bags (Target bags work best)* Parchment Paper* Fabric for handles and decor (optional)* IronWe’ll be fusing layers of old grocery bags together to create a stronger “fabric” for our new bags.

Let’s get started! 1. Gather your mound of old grocery bags. After experimenting with various bags (and my iron) I found that Target bags work best. I guess Target needs to add #6. I chose to only use the white portion of my bags. Cut the bottom, top and sides off of your bag. Lay the long rectangular sheet flat. This is the tricky part, so I won’t sugar coat it. I found that the best way is to start at the bottom and press the iron up, to get any air bubbles out. When you’re all done, it should look like this, a large sheet of plastic: 2. 3. Trace the letters on to your fabric with a marker. 4. 5. Box Bag Tutorial.

A couple of you inquired whether I made this pouch based on a tutorial or pattern and if not, if I could provide one. Ask and you shall receive! I've learned so much from tutorials out on the internets, I'm happy I can give back for once. Bear with me, though. This is my first tutorial and creating one is much tougher than I imagined. Because of the versatility of this pattern, my instructions can be used more as guidelines. Note: This pattern can be tweaked to create a bag of any dimension you want. You'll need:1/4 yard exterior fabric1/4 yard lining fabric (I used blue for Project Spectrum)1/4 yard interfacing (weight of your choice. Cut a 16" x 12" (updated dimensions) rectangle of exterior fabric, lining, and interfacing. 2. Remove pins, turn pouch rightside out, and topstitch along zipper. Turn pouch inside out and sew other side of zipper to opposite end of fabric (to create tube).Stay consistent with fabric arrangement detailed at the beginning of this step. 4.

Lorraine from ikat bag is a favorite around here… She has tons of fun tutorials on her blog and she’s joined us before with this wonderful Back to School Pencil Case tutorial. Today Lorraine shares a tutorial for a new summer essential, the On the Go Wallet-to-Tote! Construction includes three main parts: Assembling the Wallet, Assembling the Outer Bag and Making the Lining.

The tote zips into a convenient wallet in this unique and handy design. From Lorraine: Hello, Everyone. I am very excited today to share this tutorial for a wallet that morphs into a tote! These little bags have been around for as long as I can remember, and I thought they’d be a useful addition to the arsenal of summer gear I stash in my car and/or purse. I have three little girls, aged 3,4 and 6, and we’ve found that summer always takes us on adventures we hadn’t planned for– detours to farmer’s markets, dancing in the rain or treasure hunting en route to the park. Part One: Assemble the Wallet:You will need: Bags.

Neon Tshirt Reconstruction. I actually made this last summer, and just had never made a tutorial for it. I love this dress, it is sooooo bright!!! 1. You will need a very large tshirt. Cut off the sleeves, and then cut a straight line right below the neckline. The sleeves will become the top of the dress, and the large chunk will become the body of the dress. 2. Take the two sleeves you cut off, and cut the side seam of the sleeve open on each of them, and lay them flat. 3. 4. 5. 6.

E allora? [ Summer is coming and it's funny looking for something new to wear. . [ I used a place mat made of palm leaves, two little fabric scraps as side strips, an old belt, a glue gun and mouliné cotton thread.

. [ Place mat's measures are approximately in. 19,69 x in.11,81. Condividi! Plain Jane Canvas Shoes Restyle. Hi, Skunkboy friends! Well, that's it. DIY; Carpet Clutch. Sometimes the best inspiration comes from those around you. I've been in a home redecorating mood lately. Getting ready for winter making our place cozy and warm and well lit to compensate for time change. This started with a good old fall cleaning and temporarily ended with the purchase of a new couch! Only 3 stitches needed, and minimal measuring! If you can sew a pillow- you can sew this :) First I found this fabric at Goodwill. Lounging Pajamas (Pakistani style) These pants should be constructed from light weight cotton or rayon that drapes well. They are quite baggy and very comfortable worn with a long shirt overtop. You will need thread, a long skate lace and fabric that is twice the length from waist to ankle plus ten centimeters (about four inches). For purposes of the diagram I've shown regular seams but it is a good idea to finish all raw edges by doing French or flat felled seams. Highwaist-Rock. MaterialMind.
