Begin to understand just how challenging it can be to find a solution amenable to all parties and why progress is often slow. As you investigate, spend one day in Washington, DC, examining the federal government and social issues in U.S. history; another day on the Chesapeake Bay studying problems related to the region’s environment and ecology; and another in Baltimore exploring social issues from the perspective of activists, local government, and business sector.

The periodicals range from academic research journals to magazines. Around 3000 new records are added monthly from 460 current titles. Why use Index New Zealand? The approximately 900,000 records allow people to find abstracts and descriptions of articles that reflect the social, historical, political, scientific and economic issues in New Zealand and South Pacific at the present time and over the last 25 years. Subjects covered include general and special interest material, social research, the environment, science, agriculture, current affairs, the arts and the humanities.

Abstracts in both te reo Māori and English are provided for articles written in Māori. The articles can be searched for by a wide range of methods including title, author, subject, and key word.
