Dawn Hall Cook Books - Cooking for Busy People™ Baked Egg Boat recipe. Breakfast is my favorite meal. I like to drink iced coffee and watch the cream climb its way down the chunky ice cubes in a dazy before the caffeine hits. I like to order bacon with whatever I’m eating. I like eating potatoes with ketchup. I like eggs over easy, and fluffy scrambled eggs. I pretty much like everything there is to like about breakfast.

That is why I am pretty excited about these Baked Egg Boats. Baked Egg BoatsMakes 4 Ingredients: 4 demi sourdough baguettes 5 eggs 1/3 cup heavy cream 4 ounces pancetta, finely chopped and fried until crisp 3 ounces gruyere cheese, grated 2 green onions, thinly slicedsalt and pepper to tasteDirections: 1. Strawberry & Chocolate Nachos.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: sometimes the best creations are the ones you don’t set out to create! This might be my new favorite thing. It’s the perfect easy, throw-together, family style dessert for summer. I did a local tv segment this week and made my Baked Cinnamon Chips and Fruit Salsa. When I got home I had a bag full of cinnamon chips left over and started snacking.

Then my boys walked in from the back yard with handfuls of strawberries from our garden and I started thinking about how chocolate covered strawberries sounded so good right then because my first thought when I see any sort of food product is how it would taste covered in chocolate. So I chopped up those berries and let them sit in a spoonful of sugar for a bit.

Then I sprinkled them all over those crispy cinnamon-sugar coated chips. I grabbed some chocolate chips, and ate a few. Adding just a touch of vegetable oil or shortening to your chocolate makes it nice and smooth for drizzling. Holy Frijoles. Braided Spaghetti Bread » The official blog of America's favorite frozen dough. We are carb lovers at our house, so when I saw the Braided Spaghetti Bread recipe in the Rhodes Home Baked Family Favorites with frozen dough cookbook I knew we would love it. This is a really simple recipe; it just takes a little planning for thawing the dough. It will take 2-3 hours for the bread loaf to thaw to room temperature or 1-2 hours for the rolls to thaw to room temperature. You will need: 1 Loaf Rhodes Bread Dough or 12 Rhodes Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature6 oz spaghetti, cooked 1 cup thick spaghetti sauce 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/2 –inch cubes 1 egg white Parmesan cheese Parsley flakes Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray (or use parchment paper).

Roll loaf or combined dinner rolls into a 12x16-inch rectangle. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Remove wrap from dough. Make cuts 1 ½-inches apart on long sides of dough to within ½-inch of filling. Begin braid by folding top and bottom strips toward filling. This was fantastic! Bruschetta Recipe | Victoria's Recipes. Soupy Sundays: Bacon Cheddar Beer Soup. This here soup was my go-to last year, so naturally when I went to make it for a nice Soupy Sunday post, my recipe was nowhere to be found. This isn’t quite the masterpiece I’d tweaked last year but it came pretty darn close. With all the cheese I packed into this it turns out almost like a fondue. This recipe is just a skeleton – adjust the cheese and beer to the taste of you and your guests. I added a cup of cream, because I’m a freak for dairy, and wanted it super rich and thick, but that’s just me. I used Zoe from the Maine Beer Company, making it super hoppy and yummy, but this wasn’t for everyone. If you want more veggies to feel less guilty – go with that. Bacon Cheddar Beer Soup Ingredients: 1/2 half stick butter 3/4 cup carrots, finely chopped 3/4 cup onion, finely chopped 3/4 cup celery, finely chopped 1 green pepper, finely chopped 1 1/2 pounds potatoes, diced 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 32 ounces chicken stock 2 cups beer 1 jar, cheese sauce 1 5-ounce jar pimento cheese 1/2 teaspoon paprika.

Homemade nutella. Wow, so jessica and i finally had the chance to try another little recipe for our food series. this time something sweet – homemade nutella. the pics alone will show you how ridiculously easy this is to make, at a fraction of the price of real nutella … and it’s actually tastier (in my opinion) you’ll need a bar of your preferred chocolate – obviously the better the chocolate the nicer your nutella is going to be. the slab of beacon served us well, but i can imagine that using lindt would be delectable… 150 grams hazelnuts: 1/2 cup of icing sugar: 1/4 cup of cocoa powder: a couple of teaspoons of vegetable oil: that’s all you need!

Mmm perfectly roasted hazelnuts… in the meantime, melt your chocolate using a double boiler or simply a bowl on top of a pot of boiling water – on low heat. the chocolate has to melt slowly to prevent becoming lumpy or grainy. mmm perfectly melting chocolate… grind away until the nuts become a bit buttery but still chunky: mmmm NUTELLA! Recipe for cream of broccoli and cheese soup.

Last winter I hosted my first Soup Swap. Twelve friends each brought six quarts of one soup, and left with a quart of six different soups. (The math seems a bit complicated, but it works, no matter how many people come to the party.) My friend Kate contributed a delicious cream of broccoli soup from Winning at the Table, a collection of favorite recipes from the Junior League of Las Vegas.

I've tweaked that recipe and added cheese, which always wants to jump into the soup pot with broccoli. This recipe includes stovetop and crockpot directions. Tuesday is my thirty-something birthday and I wanted to make something fun for myself. A little happiness in a jar for my happy day please! These are great because I know that in no way during the week could I make a cake for myself.

I can just put the lid on these beauties and store in the fridge until my day. (okay so we all ate one tonight but there is still 4 left...) I have seen these fun little cupcakes baked right in the jar over at Babble and had to give it a try myself. I did make mine a little different and wanted to share with you all what worked for me. 1)Mix a white cake mix as directed. YUMMY!!! Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes. I know, I know, the potatoes pictured and defined in this post don’t necessarily fit the standard, high-class, French definition of au gratin potatoes, but in my defense, I grew up eating my mom’s cheesy potato dish which she always called au gratin potatoes so that’s what I’m calling these babies. The recipe below is finally the culmination of searching and testing and experimenting with recipes to make a cheesy potato dish just like my mom’s – but sans cream of chicken soup.

I understand I’m a bit late to the potato party, considering the biggest cheesy-potato-eating-day-of-the-year was probably two days ago on Easter. But I made these potatoes on a whim this weekend and couldn’t wait to tell you about them, even if I am a bit tardy, because let’s be serious, cheesy potatoes should not be meant for Easter dinner alone.
