Game Reviews. Fallout 3 Review. Amazing gameplay | stunning post-apocalyptic world | easy to become immersed in game world not enough quests | I honestly can't think of anything else bad about this game! Fallout 3 is the toughest game I’ve had to review. The developers at Bethesda Softworks are truly the kings of RPGs. They produced the highly popular Elder Scrolls series, including the 2006 Game Of The Year Winner, and one of my favorite games ever, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Check out my report on that game further down the forums).

When people heard Fallout 3 was coming, reactions were mixed. Some saw the game for what it was, epic, brilliant, and utterly enthralling. Others reduced it to a cheap knock-off, and said it would be “Oblivion with guns”. Ignore the haters. The game begins with you being born. When you emerge from the vault, you lay eyes on perhaps the most beautifully realised game world ever. So is it better than Oblivion? Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Review. Active online | Excellent Spec Ops mode | Plenty of different weapons Quite repetitive at times | Completely unnecessary airport mission | Online becomes quite boring So the most hyped game of all time is finally here. Release dates have been pushed back to avoid clashing with this titan in the Christmas rush. Developers have cowered in fear, millions of teenagers have flocked to their local GameStop to pick up a copy, and the sheer number of people online damn near broke the Internet.

So the game has got to be amazing, right? The game kicks off running an obstacle course similar to the one seen in Modern Warfare 1. While the campaign is unspectacular, with ridiculously over-blown set pieces, Multiplayer is in my opinion, even worse. It’s not all bad though. Modern Warfare 2 really isn’t a bad game. EA Sports MMA Review. EA Sports MMA is yet another contender in the already dog-eat-dog world of fighting games. This is EA’s first foray into the world of mixed-martial arts and in my opinion they are already championship contenders.

To start the game off, you should probably go to ‘MMA 101′ in the menu. This places you in an already set up grudge match between two fighters. This is basically a tutorial where the game shows you what to do, but this is a more ‘heated-up’ version, where you are effectively thrown straight into the frying pan that is MMA.

For a more relaxed, in-depth tutorial, you should go straight to career mode. Here, you create your fighter, choosing his height, weight-class, fighting style etc. etc. There are many different fighting styles to choose from, the selection being far more impressive than that of nearest rival series, UFC. You can also choose tattoos and t-shirts for your fighter, and there are plenty to choose from. From here, we move on to gameplay. Solomon's Keep Review. Addictive gameplay | Decent replay value | Multiple save files Multiplayer would be nice Note: The app store says that this game is free temporarily, but it has been free for such a long time that I don’t think it’s changing anytime soon.

If it does, please send me an email and let me know. After picking up an iPod Touch, I looked for as many free games as possible. A lot of them were total crap, but there were several that stood out. Solomon’s Keep is one that stands high above many others. 13 stories higher, to be exact. Solomon’s keep is a two-stick RPG (I have the images of the virtual joysticks removed for all screenshots ) in which you play as a wizard, dressed in blue with a stereotypical pointed hat. They’re kind of like the drunk guys at football games; annoying on their own, but just terrible in large groups. “66 gold? After defeating enough enemies, you will level up, allowing you to increase one of three randomly chosen skills, or possibly learn a new skill.

Batman Arkham City Review. If you missed 2009′s Batman: Arkham Asylum, you owe it to yourself to go out and buy that game, right now, and play it. When you’re done, come back and read this review for Batman: Arkham City, then go buy that and play it, too. Arkham Asylum was amazing. I had never played a Batman game before that really made me feel like I was in control of the real Batman.

Arkham City took everything good from that game, injected an overload of awesome, and opened up half of Gotham City for you to run around and crack skulls in. The story takes place in a closed off part of Gotham City called Arkham City, founded after Arkham Asylum was destroyed in the events of the first game.

All of the psychos from the asylum and criminals from Blackgate Prison were moved here and walled off, essentially creating a giant city-like prison for everyone, including all of the wonderfully psychotic supervillains. Rumor has it Joker is dying, Two-Face is trying to make a statement, and the place is complete anarchy. Assassin's Creed Review. Assassin’s Creed is a game that is special to me, but I will hold off all bias for the purpose of this review.

For those of you who have been living under a rock and are probably still working on inventing fire, Assassin’s Creed tells the story of a man named Desmond, who has been kidnapped against his will and is now trapped in a creepy, albeit squeaky clean, facility with an unfriendly doctor and a presumably smoking hot blonde assistant. Desmond is being forced into a machine called “The Animus,” which will allow him to re-live his ancestors’ genetic memories. Exactly why he is being forced to do this isn’t revealed until much later in the game. First off, I must say that Assassin’s Creed is a beautiful game. The graphics aren’t perfect, but when I’m playing and someone is on the other side of the room asking me “Is that a game? I thought you were watching a movie!” This guy. It is during those sequences in which you will be doing all of the cool things mentioned above. Solar 2 Review. Infinite Universe | Endless Customization | You get to be a black hole!

Lack of a cohesive story-line. | Life planets destroy things you don't want them to. | Will devour hours of your life. The Title Menu speaks to the game’s simplicity Boredom struck at midnight. I checked my online friends list on Steam and saw the only person on was playing Solar 2. In the beginning…you weren’t that great. You start the game as an asteroid, guided by the words of a mysterious ‘higher power’. All grown up! After you gain enough mass, you become a planet. Now this! Once you gain enough mass as a planet, you’ll turn into a sun. Death? As a black hole, your mission is incredibly simple. Like I said, I’m incredibly happy I purchased this game. The graphics aren’t astounding. The missions vary somewhat. The repeatability of this game is incredibly high.

Regardless of whether you play games for missions, for conquest, or for customization, you’ll find that Solar 2 provides all of these things. PC Requirements. Assassin's Creed 2 Review. When recalling the first Assassin’s Creed, one is left with mixed feelings. On one hand, leaping off of a building and assassinating a hapless evildoer was thrilling. On the other, the repetition found throughout the game left it feeling stale and lifeless after a while. Assassin’s Creed 2 not only remedies the problems found in the first title, but makes grand strides in turning the franchise into something more than AC1 could ever dream of being. The repetition is completely gone, the streets feel alive, and there is so much more to do than the main story and a few dull side missions that you could find yourself wandering for a while.

Read on for more. AC2 continues the story of Desmond. "Seriously, Lucy? If the graphics from the first game were good, then these are stellar. The money system is a nice treat, not only because you can choose and buy your weapons and upgrade your armor, but because you can increase your income over time. Brooms. They love you more than you know. Deus Ex Human Revolution Review.

Great Story | Lots to Explore | Fun Game To Easy | Game is Short | Game is not Balanced Eidos had a difficult journey ahead of them when they started the creation of Deus Ex Human Revolution. They had had to take over where Ion Storm left off while making improvements on the game, let’s face it Invisible War was not the greatest game out there. I think Eidos did a pretty good job of sticking to Ion’s vision of offering a game that supports combat, exploration, stealth, and an RPG-style upgrade and conversion system.

During the game you get to make many different choice down to who you kill and the ending of the game. You start the game off with no augmentations but an incident happens, I will try to be vague so I don’t spoil anything, leaving Jensen need augmentation to save his life. During the progression of the game you will need to hack into computers and security systems to gain access to information or to disable security features that are in place. PC Requirements. Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi - I love Dragon Ball Z. I watched it when I was a kid, and I still do. I own the first three seasons, and I’m looking to obtain the rest.

My first DBZ game was Budokai 2. It was fun, but I felt it was lacking something. The combat system for BT2 and BT3 was deceptively deep; easy to learn, hard to master. A few DBZ games were released on Xbox 360 and PS3, but they didn’t match up. The latest from Namco Bandai. Oh, you weren’t expecting that? Despite the fact that this game was about as fun as eating dog turds, reviews across the net have been very lenient. Dragon Ball Z returns to video game action in what might be its finest performance yet. No, IGN. I guess, that since I’ve already slammed you in the face with overall bad, I should give you a morsel of good to relieve the pain for a minute before we cross the point of no return (and no fun). “Gotta make this look flashy, or people will know right away this game sucks!” That’s going to be the only high point of the game. Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty - Great Graphics | Well Developed | Good Story | Overall Good Time | Challenging Capped Max Resolution | Practice Matches can be Unfair for Newbie's | People Still try to Figure out Ways to Cheat Online Starcraft 2 is the long awaited sequel to the legendary game Starcraft that was released in 1998.

Starcraft has been played by millions over the last decade and is a name that everyone knows. The squall to a game like this would need to be legendary by its own right unless fans would be disappointed and it would never turn into a successful series. After logging about 72 hours in Starcraft 2 I think I can say that it lived up to its predecessor and will not disappoint anyone. The story takes place in the 25th century where humanity is known as Terrans and the antagonist is known as the Zerg, an alien race that is a treat to the entire universe. The Campaign Skirmish’s If you want to play a free for all game but don’t want to play online you can choose to play a skirmish. Multiplayer. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Review. Let’s get something straight. I love Assassin’s Creed. Period. I beat the first game, regardless of the mundane repetition and suicide worthy voice acting for Altaïr. I played the second game until my eyes bled, and most of that time was spent harassing the guards and killing them for the pure joy of the combat.

I’ve been playing Brotherhood for even longer now, and I’m still not even close to done. “Come on. In this third installment of Assassin’s Creed, Ezio makes a return, but this time he’s not alone. “I thought these people were supposed to be killing each other. The single player story functions a lot like that of AC2, but with a new feature. Side missions are similar as well. Combat mechanics are almost identical, but they have a few minor improvements. Ezio has even more awesome kill animations, resulting in some seriously brutal deaths for the unfortunate guards who get in your way. The city itself is vast, and divided into 12 different districts.

“Hey, see that guy? The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Review. Great graphics | Beautiful soundtrack | Endless replayability Many glitches and bugs throughout game | Unrealistic characters The Elder Scrolls have always been a highly acclaimed series, but with the success of Oblivion, I expected Bethesda to play it safe and give out a slightly better installment. Boy was I wrong. During the beginning cut scene I was a little nervous, given the robotic character animations and voices.

The game begins with a public prisoner execution; as your character lays his head on the block, about to have his head permanently separated from his body, the great dragon Alduin appears. Now onto the game play. Along with the great gameplay (besides the glitches), Skyrim has incredible music and sound. Something else that needs to be mentioned is the characters. The graphics. One other aspect that makes Skyrim one of the best games of all time is the replay value and customization.

The final thing I will write about is the story. Haven’t you heard enough yet? News. With the Wii U out, it’s obvious that Nintendo fans are just dancing for an HD Smash Bros. I know I am. Well, previous rumors are confirmed. Thanks for reading part 2. 5 Last Gen Shooters Still Worth Playing. Are you stuck in a time loop and still playing your PS2? Is your PC a little weak and out of date? You’re not alone. I know what it’s like to be stuck with last year’s console, or a computer that can’t handle much more than the original StarCraft (which is still awesome). Well for starters, it comes from a pretty awesome studio, Rocksteady. All done? John Kerry likes this game. You occasionally received help from other police officers, medics and fireman, which added a nice feeling of cooperation in the game. 5 Extremely Hard Old School Games All Gamers Should Play. 5 Game Franchises They Should Revive.
