Sinds deze week staat de Muiswerk woordenboekapp voor u klaar in de App Store en in Android Market. Het woordenboek is beschikbaar op de drie Apple-apparaten (iPhone, iPad en iPod) en op 741 verschillende Android-apparaten. De app is tijdelijk gratis te downloaden. Het woordenboek bevat ruim 40.000 veelgebruikte woorden uit de Nederlandse taal.

It's easy to forget that when Apple 's first iPad was unveiled in January 2010, there were plenty of cynics questioning the need for a slate-shaped device sitting somewhere between a smartphone and a laptop computer. Microsoft had pitched tablets a decade before, to little interest. So what were iPads for? Scroll on 21 months and a second-generation model later, and we have a better idea: iPads are for lounging on the sofa, browsing, emailing, tweeting and Facebooking, for sure. But they're also for playing games, reading books, discovering music, watching films and TV shows, following recipes, video-chatting with friends and much more.
In juni hebben wij op school een iPad aangeschaft. Wat zijn er veel mogelijkheden om de iPad in te zetten, in de klas, maar ook bijvoorbeeld bij logopedie. Zeker in het Speciaal Onderwijs, in ons geval Cluster 3.

Storytelling continues to gain popularity as an educational activity as it stimulates a deep thinking process, it provides opportunities for reflection and it enhances and enriches the learning experience for our students. Storytelling is a very powerful way of communicating with our peers and portrays to others who we are and what our own stories are. It also provides an opportunity to connect with a group by creating a shared experience. This is vital in any community but more so in an educational setting where we are nurturing and fostering creativity.
