Supply-chain operations reference-model (SCOR) is a process reference model developed by the management consulting firm PRTM, now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) and endorsed by the Supply-Chain Council (SCC) as the cross-industry de facto standard diagnostic tool for supply chain management. SCOR enables users to address, improve, and communicate supply chain management practices within and between all interested parties in the extended enterprise. SCOR is a management tool, spanning from the supplier's supplier to the customer's customer. The model has been developed by the members of the Council on a volunteer basis to describe the business activities associated with all phases of satisfying a customer's demand. Following this idea, letting the customers (those who pay for and/or use the product) get involved as early as possible in the product design and development phases provides many benefits, including: more ideas for innovation, less design rework, higher customer satisfaction, shorter time-to-market, and more.
Today, including customer inputs in the design process is not only a theory, but also an increasing requirement from PLM users. Based on statistics from the TEC PLM Evaluation Center, among 50 possible business objectives for implementing a PLM system, the option of “including customer input in the design process” changed its ranking from 28th (in the year 2007) to 20th (in the year 2008) (see figure 1). W32Time reports itself as "unsynchronized," and it stops serving time to requesting clients. In response to the unsynchronized status, an event ID 36 message is logged in the system event log: MessageId=0x24 Severity=Warning Facility=Core SymbolicName=MSG_TIME_SOURCE_NONE Language=English The time service has not synchronized the system time for %1 seconds because none of the time service providers provided a usable time stamp.
The time service is no longer synchronized and cannot provide the time to other clients or update the system clock. Monitor the system events displayed in the Event Viewer to make sure that a more serious problem does not exist. Even though W32Time runs on all Windows Server 2003-based computers, the resolution of this event is primarily for Windows Server 2003-based domain controllers.
This problem occurs because there is a code bug in the Release Candidate 1 (RC1) release of Windows Server 2003.
