You know the feeling. Maybe you want to be more productive, finally tackle that goal of yours, or start waking up earlier. So you go to Google or your favorite personal development blogs. Maybe if you still haven’t found what you’re looking for you try searching for a Youtube video or ask your Facebook friends if they know of any good sites. And that’s it. Getting up early and having breakfast at home and then heading outside with our bikes. I try to appreciate every season but I can easily say that spring is the one I like the most. Some more impressions of my trip to Berlin at the first weekend of the year. Teguise is the former capital city of Lanzarote with a lovely historical city center and lots of nice little restaurants. One of the reasons why I liked Lanzarote is the architecture and the influence of César Manrique, who appealed to build houses in harmony with nature. My first short trip this year was going to Berlin. Gemma correll and her merry band of misfits.

The past week has flown by, but not without a whole lot going on: Last Thursday celebrated the release of issue #8 and the Letterpress Sampler — more pictures posted soon, I promise! I'm reviewing the printer proofs of A Collection a Day, I got to see the printer proofs of the Shoegazing Notecard Set published by Chronicle Books later this year and Work/Life 2 is off to the printer in a matter of days. The Elegant Cockroach by Deidre Martin and Stefanie Augustine made it to #3 on Calgary's Bestseller list! (hey locals, let's get it to #1!!! We had a lovely christmas break over here. i can't believe how quickly it came and went. on christmas eve we invited some friends over and had a relaxing dinner. artichoke dip, honey roasted ham, beer cheese soup, along with plenty of christmas cookies and a giant present shaped cake that our friends so thoughtfully made for us. after opening up our christmas jammies and watching christmas movies, we tucked the kids into bed and popped a bottle of champagne for santa duty. the next morning the kids were up by 6:30 and rushing down the stairs to see if santa had come. good news... he did. i made a delicious soup inspired by the big kids grandmother. she makes a ham and bean soup with the leftover ham from the night before. i made a few changes, but it was easy and delicious. this is what i did...
