T-Shirt Bracelet {Craft Camp}

You won’t want to miss a day of these fun crafts for kids from some amazing bloggers! Please be sure to pay them a visit! Carrie from ThisMamaMakesStuff writes………. Hello everyone! I’m Carrie from ThisMamaMakesStuff.com, a blog about living a creative and active family life. As an avid refashionista, I’m always looking for more ways to reuse a basic t-shirt and as a long time crocheter with an 8 year old daughter who’s just learning the skill, I came up with this crocheted t-shirt bracelet made from a simple chain stitch and pony beads. Materials needed for beaded t-shirt bracelet: Men’s Large T-shirt without side seams. Cut off hem of t-shirt. Open the fabric strip with a diagonal cut and pull to create a “knit noodle” Thread beads onto the knit noodle (the diagonal cut should make it easy).

Tie a slip knot in one end of your knit noodle, leaving a 3″ tail on one side. Mooie Noorse wol is o.a. van Dale of Norway. Knitty back issues. The only downside being that it was a double crochet pattern, and personally I don't like double crochet for things that have to hold stuffing. Too many holes. Therefore, I (after a certain amount of trial and error, adding a few bits and generally tweaking things around) have reworked it into a single crochet version. Insanely Cute Ponies. Amigurumi (crocheted dolls)

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting small animals or toys. The dolls are done in single crochet in the round. The rounds are never joined, instead being worked in a spiral. Amigurumi are made up of parts that are crocheted, stuffed, and sewn together. The parts are usually an over-sized round head, a cylindrical body, arms and legs, ears, tail (if needed) and embellishments. Free Patterns While all of these patterns are for crochet or knitted dolls, some may not technically be amigurumi.

How To Amigurumi. I heard friends and readers asking me how to do amigurumi, including patterns, materials, tools & tips etc…. you will find all the answers in this post: How-To Amigurumi!!!

How To Amigurumi

Frankly speaking, just like all other crafts, to make a decent looking amigurumi is not easy but it is not hard as you thought too. You need skill, skill comes from knowledge and practice…. and to success in crafting, you need patience and the “never-give-up” attitude – do it again and again until you are satisfied with the result. Amigurumi (編みぐるみ? , lit. crocheted or knitted stuffed toy) is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll.
