The Journal of International Security Affairs | Home. Foreign Policy Association: Homepage. Institution - China Leadership Monitor. The China Leadership Monitor seeks to inform the American foreign policy community about current trends in China's leadership politics and in its foreign and domestic policies. The Monitor proceeds on the premise that as China's importance in international affairs grows, American policy-makers and the broader policy-interested public increasingly need analysis of politics among China's leadership that is accurate, comprehensive, systematic, current, and relevant to major areas of interest to the United States. China Leadership Monitor analysis rests heavily on traditional China-watching methods of interpreting information in China's state-controlled media.

Use of these methods was once universal among specialists in contemporary Chinese affairs. Although the use of these methods has declined as opportunities to study China using other approaches have opened up in recent decades, their value in following politics among China's top leadership has not. Obama's Arrogant Interference in Venezuela and Resistance by A Participatory Democracy By Arnold August February 23, 2014 - democracycuba.com On February 19, 2014, at a Press Conference by President Obama, President Peña Nieto (Mexico), and Prime Minister Harper (Canada), in Toluca, Mexico, Obama stated: “In Venezuela, rather than trying to distract from its own failings by making up false accusations against diplomats from the United States, the government ought to focus on addressing the legitimate grievances of the Venezuelan people.

So, along with the Organization of American States, we call on the Venezuelan government to release protestors that it’s detained and engage in real dialogue. And all parties have an obligation to work together to restrain violence and restore calm.” www.whitehouse.gov How can Obama say that the accusations against U.S. diplomats for interfering in the internal affairs of Venezuela are false? Born on January 19, 1994 , Friends and Partners is one of the first Internet services developed jointly by citizens of the United States and Russia. Resulting from a chance meeting on the Internet (you can read our story here), it is but one of many examples of how the Internet, itself rooted in the Cold War separating our nations, can provide an effective means of bringing us together.

Friends and Partners now represents a community of people all over the world who provide information and communications services to promote better understanding, friendship and partnership between individuals and organizations of the United States (and, more broadly, "the west") and countries of the Former Soviet Union. This project owes any success it has realized to many, many individuals and organizations. Please sign our GuestBook and let us know your comments and suggestions.
