GCMC Public Affairs GERLOSSTEIN REGION, ZILLERTALER ALPS, Austria (March 27, 2013) – Military winter training with an international flavor brought 18 people, including several from the Defense Department’s George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, here March 11-15. Soldiers and civilians from the Marshall Center and the NATO School in Oberammergau travelled to the Austrian Alps for a week-long immersion in winter survival skills, high-alpine ski touring and avalanche training. La concurrence fiscale en Europe : une contribution au débat
Cette étude a été réalisée pour la Commission des Finances du Sénat par une équipe constituée autour du Département des études de l'Observatoire français des conjonctures économiques (OFCE), sous la direction de Jacques Le Cacheux, directeur du département des études de l'OFCE et professeur d'économie à l'université des Pau et des Pays de l'Adour (UPPA). L'ensemble des travaux a été coordonné par Réjane Hugounenq (département des études, OFCE) et Thierry Madiès (maître de conférences à l'université d'Evry). Ont collaboré aux différents chapitres : Antoine Bouët (professeur à l'UPPA et directeur du CATT), Claude Emonnot (maître de conférences à l'UPPA), Danièle Meulders (professeur à l'université libre de Bruxelles, Dulbéa) et Julie Etienne (ULB, Dulbéa).

In 1990, the government of the Federal Republic of Germany chose the University of California as one of the original three "Centers of Excellence" in the United States, along with Harvard and Georgetown. The mission of these centers is to encourage activities that will increase American understanding of contemporary developments in Europe, and particularly in Germany. The establishment of the "University of California Center for German and European Studies" (CGES) was accompanied by a generous long-term grant from the German government with the contractual agreement that when the grant period ended in the year 2000, the Center would continue in its mission with the support of the University. The University has now partially met this obligation through the establishment of this Institute of European Studies (IES).US - European Relations | About the Course
This course, US-European Relations, focuses on contemporary transatlantic issues while also examining the roots and development of governmental foreign policies over the past quarter century. The main theoretical approaches to international relations are considered. The course will also focus on bi-lateral relations between the US and major European countries (Britain, France, Germany). Thematic sessions will cover the impact of developments on transatlantic relations such as the EU's attempts to articulate a common foreign policy and the coming expansion of the EU from 15 to 25 countries. The professors for the course are Stanley Hoffmann (Paul and Catherine Buttenwieser University Professor, Harvard Government Department) and Louise Richardson (Executive Dean of the Radcliffe Institute).

Our Voice 2012 a été retenu pour représenter le Grand-Duché de Luxembourg à Aix-la-Chapelle (DE) lors de la remise du Prix Charlemagne pour la Jeunesse européenne 2013. 4 jeunes en provenance de l'Allemagne, de la Grèce et du Luxembourg (Martina Merlo et Charles Metz) ont décidé, après un an de réflexion, de réunir ensemble à Luxembourg 18 jeunes au total issus des 3 pays pour échanger leurs idées, partager leurs espoirs, mais aussi leurs difficultés. <p style="text-align:right;color:#A8A8A8"></p>
