Open Design Italia is an international contest-exhibition-market exploring the field of self-production and allowing selected designers to exhibit and sell their objects directly and with no mediation. The main aim is to promote new ways to approach design which combine creating, thinking and designing – with producing. Since 2010, OpenDesignItalia has served to promote the collaboration between local designers, companies and makers, thus favouring the creation of networks among different subjects in the supply chain and enhancing the sustainability in the production process.

Les Cristalleries Royales de Champagne, Dichamp, la Verrerie Waltersperger, Fauvel, Non Sans Raison et Sculptéo sont les 6 entreprises sélectionnées pour bénéficier du programme SILINNOV SILINNOV, programme d’innovation par le design et le marketing Le Lieu du Design, en partenariat avec la Société Française de Céramique, et le Centre de Recherche et de Formation aux Arts Verriers (pôle d’innovation national) ont remporté un appel à projets lancé par le Ministère chargé de l’Industrie portant sur « Innovation, Création, Design, Marketing ». Le Lieu du Design, chef de file de l’opération, a monté un programme intitulé SILINNOV dans l’objectif d’offrir à une sélection d’entreprise un accompagnement personnalisé d’une durée de 14 mois, visant à concrétiser des projets à forte valeur ajoutée, de la conception de nouveaux produits jusqu’à leur commercialisation.
