Why Every Entrepreneur Should Self-Publish a Book

I’ve published eight books in the past seven years, five with traditional publishers (Wiley, Penguin, HarperCollins), one comic book, and the last two I’ve self-published. In this post I give the specific details of all of my sales numbers and advances with the traditional publishers. Although the jury is still out on my self-published books, “How to be the Luckiest Man Alive” and ”I Was Blind But Now I See” I can tell you these two have already sold more than my five books with traditional publishers, combined. If you, the entrepreneur, self-publish a book you will stand out, you will make more money, you will kick your competitors right in the XX, and you will look amazingly cool at cocktail parties. I know this because I am seldom cool but at cocktail parties, with my very own comic book, I can basically have sex with anyone in the room. http://techcrunch.com/2012/01/28/why-every-entrepreneur-should-self-publish-a-book/

Reading; Literature

http://jimmiescollage.com/2009/02/reading-books/ Since Sprite was an infant, I’ve read aloud to her. She’s close to ten years old, and I still read to her. She loves to listen as she sets up little worlds with her toys, sketches scenes from her imagination, or molds clay figures. Besides the pure enjoyment of a good book, I love how we share the stories.

What is a Response Journal? Response journals require the students to write about what they felt while reading a book or listening to a story. What is its purpose? Response Journals record student feelings, responses, and reactions to reading texts. This strategy encourages students to think deeply about the materials they read and to relate this information to their prior knowledge and experiences. This interaction between reader and text extends the reading experience into the "real life" application of information.

Moodle

At least that is what I told Derek as I was flipping through a CB2 catalog. The oversized abacus . The perfect addition to what to put above the crib which had been stressing me out for awhile as I was very uninspired in this area for some reason. Of course we were not going to spend $150 for the CB2 version when of course we could make our own.

Sustainable Family Residence in California: 2 Bar House

Feldman Architecture have completed a modern residential project entitled 2 Bar House and located in the San Francisco Bay Area, in California. Especially developed for a couple with two young children, the house mirrors the lifestyle of the family members and provides both indoor and outdoor spaces for various activities. Here is a description from the architects:” The 2 Bar concept floats a bedroom bar above and perpendicular to a living bar, an arrangement that allows both spaces to open up to more light than the typical box. The lower, living level features accordion and lift/slide doors which allow the house to open to a generous backyard and garden. A private, green roof with deck allows the upper level to also have a connection to garden and landscape.

Easy Halloween Party Food | Our Best Bites - StumbleUpon

Halloween is a big deal at our house. My husband has always had a fine appreciation for all things creepy and I have to admit that I didn’t love Halloween until I married him. I’ve always loved everything about the fall season (like the menu and the wardrobe), but just not the Halloween holiday itself. But that has changed over the years and now I can honestly say that I love Halloween! Almost 5 years ago we brought our first baby boy home from the hospital on Halloween day.
