No matter what, 2 is a hard age to buy for. They are not baby enough to really want push toys or things to chew on and they're not big enough for the big boy toys like Legos or baseball sets. Enter-felt toys. Not only are they portable and easy to store in a purse or diaper bag but they can keep kids busy for hours. For Austin's birthday presents I used two quick and easy tutorials. I only used two pieces of felt for the playmat and added some velcro to aid in its portability. My four year old was very interested in this project.
