Cake Versus Pie: A Scientific Approach — Aiming Low

This was the post that made me fall in love with Allie over at Hyperbole and a Half . This was the post that turned the night of March 15th into the biggest timesuck in the history of me, because it was spent stalking poor Allie’s archives. http://aiminglow.com/2010/05/cake-versus-pie-scientific-approach/

The Best Store in the Universe

http://store.theworstpageintheuniverse.com/ Shirts: All shirts are 100% preshrunk cotton tees with high quality screen prints (these last longer than shitty heat transfers, breathe more easily, and you won't get that ugly border that you would with a crappy iron-on if you do it yourself).
Packing all of your belongings into a U-Haul and then transporting them across several states is nearly as stressful and futile as trying to run away from lava in swim fins. I know this because my boyfriend Duncan and I moved from Montana to Oregon last month. But as harrowing as the move was for us, it was nothing compared to the confusion and insecurity our two dogs had to endure. Our first dog is - to put it delicately - simple-minded.

This superb deviation from verbal uncoordination gives rise to expectations for future compilations of these disambiguations and clarifications of common observations for education by the clever manipulation of enunciation.

http://consumerist.com/2009/10/ok-someone-should-have-thought-this-veggietales-cookie-cutter-through.html —>Reader Aaron was in his local Christian bookstore when he found something, um, interesting. It's a VeggieTales cookie cutter, right? Let's all stop for a moment and think about this.

Ok, Someone Should Have Thought This VeggieTales Cookie Cutter Through - The Consumerist

My mom baked the most fantastic cake for my grandfather's 73rd birthday party. The cake was slathered in impossibly thick frosting and topped with an assortment of delightful creatures which my mom crafted out of mini-marshmallows and toothpicks. To a four-year-old child, it was a thing of wonder - half toy, half cake and all glorious possibility. But my mom knew that it was extremely important to keep the cake away from me because she knew that if I was allowed even a tiny amount of sugar, not only would I become intensely hyperactive, but the entire scope of my existence would funnel down to the singular goal of obtaining and ingesting more sugar.

| That Ain’t Normal | Redneck Sayings – Foley’isms |

I used to work with a redneck named Greg Foley. He had a vast vocabulary of redneck sayings that he used constantly. More than anyone that I have ever met. For a while some of my co-workers kept a log of the redneck sayings, and they became Greg Foley’ isms. We have long since lost the list, but here is a rebuilt list that since 2003 people on the net and my friends have been contributing too.
