Advanced: '60s-inspired winged tip, How to Apply Eyeliner: 10 Looks for Beginners and Pros. BROWS 101. Photos: Justin Coit for thebeautydepartment.com post by amy nadine We’ve gotten tons of requests for a brow tutorial– how to shape them, how to fill them in, how to elongate them, etc… This is so great because the correct brow shape can really lift the eye and slim the face.

First let me share my #1 rule: DO NOT OVER-PLUCK!! Please! There is nothing pretty about thin overly-tweezed brows. Spooly brush or disposable mascara wand, cuticle scissors, angled/slant tweezers, pointed tweezers, brow shadow (taupe for blondes, brown range for everyone else), stiff brow shadow brush, pencil (to line up the angles). 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.

Tightlining your eyes (also known as "invisible eye liner") is a great way to add subtle definition to your peepers. Most people think that the point of tightlining is to make your eyes look bigger, but according to Los Angeles-based makeup artist, Jason Sanchez “it’s to make your eyelashes appear thicker and fuller.” Instead of lining the skin above your lashes, you line the inside of the upper lash line and in between the roots of the lashes. As you can see in the picture below, filling in the inside of the lash line really creates an illusion of fuller lashes, more so than just with a mascara. This technique can be used for any casual or formal occasion, and is pretty easy to master.

Before You Start Make sure any product you use near your eye is clean. Step 1: Using clean fingers, gently lift your lashes upward. Step 2: Using your eyeliner (we used Inglot Cosmetics Kohl Pencil), lightly dab it in between each individual lash and get as close to the root as possible. Step 3: Tightlining. Color my summer PINK swap and a lip gloss tutorial. We could gush for hours about how much we adore today’s PINK guest, Delia! She is a seriously rockin’ partner to host a series with, and we are so honored to call her a good friend as well. We LOVE her fabulous projects (like the Lil’ Mister Bow Tie- Burke wore one on Easter and the other night a made a couple more for his birthday party). We drool reading through her recipes- did you see the crepe cake? Umm, yes please! She throws fantastic parties (love the lego theme!). Even more, though, she is just one of the nicest girls we know.

And today, we’re doing a little blog swap, so she’s here with a fabulous pink project! Hello Kojo readers! Kirstin and Jordan are the most fun, genuine, kind girls. I have loved doing this series with them. Today I’m going to share a spin off my beeswax lip gloss. The key is the amount of beeswax you include. The great thing about beeswax is that it has natural sun protection qualities.

As you can tell…I haven’t been in the sun much yet. Containers:
