It's based on the Drapedrape dress no 7, and it has the same 'what am I looking at here' feel to it. At one point you'll think, 'what a mess' and then it just clicks and you have a beautiful skirt. I mean, you have to get the garment off your skin, after all, so they probably didn't make it too strong... The reason I ask is because in belly dance, we wear ridiculously heavy belts - like a good 10 pounds or so (for a decently flashy one - sometimes more). They're designed with hips in mind, so they stay up pretty well on their own, but a lot of us tend to take some toupee tape to the higher parts for the extra grip (or else safety pin the hell out of it, which is begging for ouch).

The theme is apparel and I wanted to try something I’ve had swirling around in my little brain for a while. A ruffled vest. To make it, I used and old bed sheet.
