the harem theme has got to be one of my favorite themes. what kind of guy wouldn't want to have multiple girls fighting for his affection. and it not being an open relationship at that. i do not view girls as objects and i think it is wrong to think this way. girls should never feel this way and in anime and manga, as well as in the real world, they do not feel this way so why should you. now a typical harem in the real world means to have multiple wives. not necessarily all live together but all married to the same man. so how is this different then a harem in an anime or manga.. ill explain, it seems most authors miss the point of a harem but i am okay with how it has been adapted into a single guy with multiple girls crushing on him, instead of them actually marrying the same person... it seems to be in popular demand that the male lead choose one of the girls, its sad that everyone cant be happy. this being said you can build a harem by being a perverted selfish asshole.

For a long time now, the psychology genre has been dominated by the likes of Elfen Lied, Higurashi, Monster and Requiem for a Phantom. All these anime looked at psychology as the mindset of a murderer or the troubled past of the protagonist, and there were also shows like Death Note, which focused on the mental abilities of two geniuses. This has been the way anime have defined the psychology genre for years. But, as always, along comes a player that changes the way the game is played.
