DIY Crocheted Hair Ties. Last week was a busy one. University-busy, not crafty-busy. And always when I'm having a busy week and I'm working like crazy my brain just likes to tease me with all the creative things I could be doing instead. A nasty brain I have. So between homework and studying I decided to whip up these lovely crocheted hair ties and it took me less than 45 minutes for all three of them! I got the inspiration from a picture I once saw on Pinterest, you can find the related link here. You'll need: A simple hair tie, best are ties that are slightly darker than your hair or slightly darker than the color of the yarn (you won't see them shining through later). Yarn in a color you like. The white one was designed to look like you took a simple crocheted ribbon instead of a hair tie, so I added fake ribbon ends and a knot. [1] Start with a slip knot and continue with 5-7 chain stitches.

I'm in love with the light and natural look of these hair ties. Mary Jo - Crochet DROPS stole with lace pattern in ”Cotton Light”. - Free pattern by DROPS Design. Cuerpo aquaman. What? Valentine's Day? I have no idea what you're talking about. Today is Tales of the Abyss Day, obviously.

It's the day that my favorite game on the Playstaion 2 gets re-released on the Nintendo 3DS! And to celebrate, I just had to make plushies of all the main characters. :D (This picture is way too tiny. From right to left, we have:Jade Curtiss, Guy Cecil, Tear Grants, Luke fon Fabre, Asch the Bloody, Natalia Luzu Kimlasca Lanvaldear, Anise Tatlin, and Fon Master Ion. And here's a picture of all the characters together. How well did I do? And finally, a silly shot of them posing with the game. Ion didn't make it into the game's cover art, so he made sure to photobomb here.

Originally, I was going to hold onto this pattern and perhaps sell it, but Tales of the Abyss Day has filled my heart with so much love that I feel that I should share with all of you. Keep in mind that if you follow the pattern as it is, it will just make a solid color doll with nothing extra. You're done! Adornos estrella. These star frames are a twist on the Mary Go Round crochet flowers by Lola Nova. I've been making the flower frames for a couple of years to frame Little Golden Book pictures. I've recently come up with a version of my own just in time for Christmas, the perfect handmade ornament for the tree!

Use them to frame photos of family members or treasured Christmas pictures, or just leave it empty and let it hang amongst the lights! Here's how to make them... You will need to raid your daughters/friends dress up box or jewelry stash for a cheap thin(but rigid) metal bracelet as shown in the picture. I’ve used 8 ply wool or acrylic yarn for all of my stars, and a 4mm hook. Stitches used: * Slip Stitch (sl st) * Chain Stitch (ch) * Single Crochet Stitch (sc) * Double Crochet Stitch (dc) * Picot stitch After attaching yarn to hook with a slip knot, attach your yarn to your bracelet with a slip stitch (I usually use finer bracelets, you know the tacky silver, gold or metallic coloured ones? Patrón gratuito: Halter Top by Ahuyama Crochet – Entre Fils i Madeixes. ¡Hola, crochetera!

¡Y listo! ¡Un abrazo y buen crochet! The movies and books, as well as the costumes, have inspired entire books of patterns, as well as some free ones. Luna Lovegood Scarf by Melissa Helton, on Craftster: A perfect replica of the one Luna wears in the movie! Ready for a butter beer in Hogsmeade? Chal. Last fall I designed the Fallen Leaves Slouchy Hat – in gorgeous Baby Alpaca from the LB Collection! It was just one skein, and it was so fun to make. Well, I finally got my hands on some more of this lovely yarn, and have designed a luxurious wrap to match!

However, “Fall Leaves Wrap” is the name of another gorgeous pattern by my friend Jessie At Home – which you should totally check out HERE, it’s amazing! So to avoid confusion, the companion piece to the Fallen Leaves Slouchy Hat has a name all it’s own – the Alpaca Your Wrap! Disclaimer: This post includes affiliate links. Long time readers know I can hardly every resist a pun – especially a yarny one! So you’ll have to forgive me this one… the pattern is worth it!

The stitch pattern is reminiscent of falling leaves, and combined with the border detailing it’s both feminine and modern.
