I used an xacto knife to cut slits on the flat side of large bubble wrap, and stuffed the inside with yarn. I love how it makes a messy bunch of scraps look like nice neat little balls – too cool! My mind is sufficiently blown now with all the possibilities, because this could make some great outdoor, as well as indoor art. What if students practiced making patterns as in A, B, A, B? What if it each child created a letter with their bubble wrap square, and the sum spelled out something?

Maciej Dakowicz - photographer Crafts for Kids: Tissue Paper Butterflies - Playdough To Plato | Playdough To Plato Activity for ages 4 to 8. The sun is shining, thermometers are climbing and that can only mean one thing… spring is on its way. This spring-themed butterfly craft project can easily be modified for preschoolers to second graders and is a perfect compliment to our popular bugs and butterflies math and literacy unit. To Prep Before asking my daughter to join me, I gathered my supplies: Various colors of tissue papers cut into 2 inch squares12″ x 18″ black construction paper12″ x 18″ white construction paperA pencil {a white crayon would work well too}ScissorsWhite glueWatercolor paintbrush {or any soft brush} I folded the black construction paper in half and then used my pencil to draw one half of a butterfly. I placed the tissue paper squares on a tray and poured a glob of white glue into a bowl. To Create Since we had been talking about Spring and the life cycle of a butterfly, I told my daughter that we were going to create a butterfly craft. I love collages because anything goes. Tired, Need Sleep. Growing Tree Toys recently sent us this fun little kit to use and review. We’ve done bubble art before – with dishsoap, water, and food coloring – and truly the fun part of this is the bubble blowing. So, yes, that’s simple to do at home without a kit; but I noticed that the colors this time, with the kit, turned out to be much more vibrant, and the included crafts were a bonus. Here’s everything the kit includes: The picture is so very bright it isn’t showing the tons of punch out pieces that came with this. Also included: pipe cleaners, dye, a stir stick, straws, green embroidery thread, paper cups, and a large bottle (much more than we needed) of soap with gold glitter in it. I was not sure about the glitter soap, but it did sparkle up the bubbles (as long as we occasionally stirred it), and looked so pretty on the paper after it had dried! M really had so much fun doing this. Blowing 4 colors of bubbles all at the same time proved to be a lot of fun too: A crown: A hot air balloon:

Jack Davison Photography Le photographe anglais Jack Davison a parcouru 26 Etats d’Amérique pour prendre des portraits très forts de personnes ou de villes, le plus souvent en noir et blanc. Avec un sens excellent de la composition et un grain délicat, il ajoute des motifs surréalistes en juxtaposant des yeux sur des mains ou en effaçant des visages, de manière abstraite. Un beau travail jouant sur les ombres et reflets, à découvrir.
