DIY Découpage Floral Bag When H&M asked us to DIY a boho-inspired item for their summer issue, découpage was the first thing that came to mind. Honestly, does it get any better than customizing a simple handbag with a brilliant floral print? However you create it, it’ll be satisfying to know that you’ve designed yourself a one of a kind bag! You’ll need:a handbagcotton fabric with a large floral patternpainter’s tapeMod Podgecraft paint2 small plastic dishes2 brushesscissors Start by taping off the edges and hardware of the handbag. Squeeze a dollop of colored craft paint into a small disposable container. Allow the first layer to dry completely. While the paint dries, carefully cut out a handful of flowers from the fabric. Arrange them onto the painted section of the bag. Remove the painter’s tape when the Mod Podge has dried clear and your floral handbag is complete! (all images by HonestlyWTF)

KNOW AND TELL CRAFTS You can add a sweet little touch to your fridge or magnet board with these cute little magnets. I had made a crappy version of this a while back and I decided I should upgrade! You only need minimal skill and some colorful clay to make them! For this post I decided to use a piece of pretty scrapbook paper from the stacks and piles of paper in my basement :). Get yourself some round little magnets, any good craft store should have them. Oooh! Oh and also get some nice base clay. Put some of your clay directly on the magnets, Now roll your color out in a thin strip. Mine was 4 inches, but I definitely did not use all of it for the swirl. This is really helpful! This is my completed cupcake ready to venture in the oven. Perfect swirls! And they're complete (for now)! Ok so when you're done get your aluminum foil out and cut small strips: I cut a thick strip and folded it in half so it was sturdy. Now wrap the strip around your cupcake, it hides the magnet! Yum... DIY | One Of Each Blog As promised, I’m letting you in on my until-now secret of my pastel purple hair. At what better timing might I add. As the color has faded out of my hair, it’s time for me to pass the torch and the legacy. Also I thought I would show you guys another side of me. Now for the details on my hair color. STEP 1: Have your hair professionally bleached. STEP 2: Prep! STEP 3: Shower! STEP 4: Now I bet your hair looks short of gray-silver-purpleish right? STEP 5: Style hair as usual. Ta-da! guitar-shaped bag for my boyfriend's PSP (WITH TUTORIAL. and so many pics!!) my boyfriend saw a guitar-shaped sling bag and he got crazy over it. so i offered to make him one. however, he said that it should be small, just perfect for his PSP slim. well.you've probably seen bigger and leather versions of this. what i made was veddy small. just a bit bigger than a paperback. that would be a fender stratocaster . screws are handsewn with gold threads. knobs are buttons. there are so many things that i would change about this bag. i will make a gibson les paul for me and it will be better. 1. Print a guitar image onto an A4 paper. Trace your image; 2 for the body, 2 for lining, 2 for your scratchplate. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Topstitch the top part. 11. 12. And here is mine, back from a trip to the mall. FYI, I know nothing about guitars, I had to google the parts as my boyfriend is not around to tell me. Happy sewing.

DIY Fashion Tutorial: Ann Demeulemeester S/S 2010 Zipper Headdress Monoxious | Monoxious Greetings patient ones~!! I know we’ve been neglecting the DIY section although we KNOW everyone enjoys it. We just couldn’t really find the time to make a decent post cause we had stuff to do. *shifty eyes* BUT FEAR NOT~!! We have an awesome DIY for you to do this weekend~! We’ll teach you how to make your own Ann Demeulemeester zipper headdress, and an accurate one at that down to the number of zippers and darts because we are -that- anal. This DIY is a little more high-level than the rest that we have done so please read through every single line of instructions carefullly. You will need: Pleather or leather if you can afford it (or have access to it) approx half a meter would be more than sufficient.7 Open-end zippers with metal teeth. We drafted a pattern piece like so. The darts are there to contour the headband so it sits nicely on the head instead of sticking out awkwardly. The side is well, the side. Transfer the pattern onto the fabric. Rinse and repeat for the other piece.

DIY As a bit of a novice photographer, I'm always searching the internets for new ways to improve my photo-taking abilities, especially when it comes to creating light. While I've been staying at my parents house, it's become especially difficult, as their decorating scheme generally consists of what I like to refer to as "50 Shades of Brown." (They're rocking a very outdoorsy log cabin style, which is beautiful, but lends to some seriously yellow photos.) With the upcoming opening of my new shop, I've know that I wanted to create something that would both address my lighting issues as well as serve as a very generic backdrop for product and blog photos. With natural light normally being out of the question, and the DIY girl (a.k.a. tightwad,) that I am, I just knew that I could whip something up to suit my needs. What you'll Need... 8 pieces of "craft board." Wood Glue 3 pieces of foam board masking or duck tape paint (I used brown for one side and turquoise for the other. paintbrush rag

Singapore Fashion Blog: DIY Fashion tutorial | Ann demeulemeester Epine thorn necklace | Monoxious This DIY is an user request, we thought we’d take up the challenge. It was a pain in the ass trying to source the proper leather in Singapore so we had to end up ordering online. I’m pretty sure our readers overseas have better leather sources than us. You will need: Leather: preferably lambskin or kid leather cause it’s softer. You really need the malleability of the softer leathers in this DIY.Chalk: or something you can use to mark on the back of the leather.Scissors: something that you can use to cut leather properly.Black craft wire: which is used to finish off the edges of the bracelet and hold the leather together.Black jump rings: Also can be used to perform tasks as above. Mark a length of “vine” on the leather. Start marking the thorns along the length of the vine. Rinse, repeat. Use the black craft wire (or black jump rings) to attach the two vines together. You will end up with the leather pieces looking like this. And there you have it!

Fuzzy Wuzzy Was a Camera Case DIY Turban We’ve recently received several requests for a turban DIY and so, your wish is our command . . . Before you start, tie your hair in a bun or ponytail. Fold a large square scarf in half into a triangle. Lay the scarf on your head with the center point of the triangle facing forward and the sides hanging down each of your shoulders. Making sure most of your hair is covered, grasp the length of each side and bring them to the top of your head, twisting twice to create a “knot”. Once you’ve twisted the ends twice into a knot, bring both sides together to the back of your head and tie it tight. Voila, you’ve just made a turban! (top image from here, rest of images by Honestly…WTF)

DIY Chainmail Necklace You’ll need: Start by separating the jump rings into two halves: 175 open and 175 closed. Thread three closed jump rings onto an open jump ring. Close the ring. Spread the three rings apart, with the rings looking exactly as shown below. The bottom ring will be the end of the necklace and the top two rings, which are spread open over the middle ring, will be where the chain mail begins. Keeping the rings in place with your forefinger and thumb, take an open jump ring and hook it through the front side of the two rings. Add 2 closed rings to the open ring and close. Spread the two rings apart in the same way as the first set of rings. Add 2 closed rings and close. To add an optional fourth row, lay the necklace flat and hook an open ring through first and second closed rings on the right side. I stopped at 4 rows but you can continue adding rows for a more bib-like necklace. Connect the two ends with a single jump ring or clasp. Fini! (top image from here, rest of images by HonestlyWTF)
