Prepare To Be Amazed At This Defenders Cosplay Fans are ecstatic to finally see the Netflix heroes of the Marvel universe get together in the upcoming Defenders series, something that has been a long time coming. While some fans are content to just sit and wait, others have decided to create some amazing Cosplay in honor of their favorite heroes. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist are all represented in a new Defenders Cosplay photo set, and the results are pretty impressive. Surprisingly it still fits in quite well with the rest of the team, and hopefully, he'll have some semblance of a bandana, as it's become a big trademark for him in the comics. While the costumes are impressive enough unto themselves, you need a gifted photographer to pull it all together and make it shine, and Jason Laboy does jut that. You can find the spectacular photo shoot in the gallery.

ANIME NEWS: With giant expectations, ‘Attack on Titan’ to hit the stage:The Asahi Shimbun After conquering TV and film, the “Attack on Titan” manga series is set to trample the stage in summer this year. Details of “Live Impact: Attack on Titan” remain a mystery, but it will be a fully immersive, fast-moving experience for the audience, an insider said. “Attack on Titan” is an action-packed dark fantasy by Hajime Isayama that runs in the Bessatsu Shonen Magazine comic anthology. The manga has sold more than 60 million copies and spawned TV anime and live-action film adaptations. Questions fan might be asking about the stage adaptation are how it can bring giants on stage and how the Vertical Maneuvering Equipment, which helps members of the Survey Corps fight the monsters, is handled. The stage production is also raising expectations from fans about who will play which characters in the ensemble cast story. The venue, performance schedule and other information will be announced shortly.

Toonami Was an Anime Gateway for Millennials When most Americans of the last couple generations think back to when they first saw a Japanese animated television show, chances are it was after school, on an idiosyncratic, little programming block known as Toonami. Beginning on Cartoon Network on Monday, March 17, 1997, for two hours the channel was dedicated to action cartoons — Jonny Quest and Thundercats were on the first lineup, but so was giant-robot classic Voltron, and soon after, Robotech. They were later joined by Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon, massive successes in their home countries, whose American dubbed versions had previously languished on Saturday mornings, often in heavily edited versions. On Toonami, they found their audience, and dozens of anime series — Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo! and later, One Piece and Naruto — found theirs as well. This was a time when it could be daunting and expensive (and often technically illegal) to access anime, and it was still a relatively niche interest in America.

Mobile app a big hit at this year's Black Hills Regional Job Fair | Local Laurel Horsley put an accountant’s attention to detail to good use in preparing for Wednesday’s Black Hills Regional Job Fair. Horsley, of Summerset, efficiently made the rounds among prospective employers at the 18th annual job fair at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center, providing copies of her resume and talking with company representatives about her qualifications in the accounting field. She has been sending out a lot of applications, she said, since being laid off at her previous job at a Rapid City concrete company. Wednesday’s job fair was her first, and she was prepared, with pre-printed resumes prepared for specific companies and more general resumes for other potential job opportunities. She also carried a clipboard in case she needed to fill out any application forms. “I’m ready,” she said. Horsley was just one of dozens of job seekers lining up for the noon opening of the job fair on a warm afternoon. Loaded: 0% Progress: 0% Get news headlines sent daily to your inbox

A flood of kids movies this year may backfire on toy sellers The $20 billion toy industry is getting drunk on movies. With a record 30 kids’ flicks coming out this year, all with toy tie-ins, retailers and manufacturers are betting big — maybe too big, some say — on Hollywood to ring up sales. With each blockbuster, a wave of gizmos and plush toys hit store shelves, barely giving kids and their parents time to savor or save up before the next flick unspools and its merchandise hits retail. Take the start of the summer movie season later this month. In fact, two kids’ movies — DreamWorks Animation’s “Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie” and Warner Bros.’ “The sheer volume of such movies could turn out to be cannibalistic,” said toy analyst Gerrick Johnson of BMO Capital Markets. Nearly one third of toy sales come from licensed goods — and movies account for the lion’s share. With so many big releases this year, the Toy Association is expecting licensed goods’ share to grow. But there are some early signs of movie fatigue.

Code camp helps students learn programming, web development OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- For a select group of students, school is not out for the summer. Monday was the beginning of a unique, seven-week course designed to teach students all about programming and web development. Highlander Code Camp students all have different goals, but they know to achieve them, they need to understand how the technology around them works. "The purpose of the camp is to get young people excited about technology as early as we can,” said lead instructor David Dugger. For seven weeks, these students will learn critical skills that will allow them to be leaders in new technology. "I was in robotics and I wasn't really good at programming and I wasn't really good at programming robots and when I found out about this—this is seven weeks of me just learning how to actually program the right way so that's really exciting,” said Jean-Pierre. With new opportunities emerging all the time, Dugger says it’s important to teach students the fundamentals as early as possible.

mashable In the dozen or so years between mid-aughts bombs Catwoman and Elektra and last weekend's Wonder Woman, we've had roughly 40 major superhero movies starring men. Fortunately, it looks like Wonder Woman will be no mere one-off anomaly. With a little bit of luck, Diana could find herself at the forefront of a veritable wave of lady heroes. Wonder Woman was under enormous pressure for all the reasons typical of its genre — its gigantic budget, the shaky state of the DCEU franchise. If it did well, it could stand as proof positive that female superhero movies can succeed – but if it didn't, it could become another Elektra, which is to say an excuse for skittish studio execs to sideline women heroes for another dozen years. So when Wonder Woman turned out to be not just good, but great, it didn't just spark joy. With that in mind, then, let's take a look at what's coming down the pipeline. What's taking Marvel so long? Why the Future of Mobile Apps Must Speed Up to Stay Competitive Whether it is a utilitarian enterprise app, a beautifully designed meditation app or popular game, apps without a doubt are the best way to get the most out of mobile phones or tablets. Nielsen's most recent analysis found that the average U.S. smartphone user accessed almost 27 apps per month. They also reported that over 70% of that total usage is coming from the top 200 apps. Considering the Apple app store grows by 1,000 apps per day, it's safe to say the majority of those apps developed flop. The challenge of course is how to reach and maintain a top 200 status. "The biggest challenge in testing mobile apps is the growing fragmentation of device OS versions and platforms," said Craig Lurey, CTO at Keeper Security. Without this backend support, apps risk losing out on what Gartner estimates to be a $77 billion industry. The Problem: Lack of Control and Feedback Cycles As Lurey mentions, there is a severe dislocation in the app development process. The Opportunity: Bridging the Gap
