Observing Generation Gaps
How similar are parent and child? German photographer Frauke Theilking's photo project called "Generation" observes the similarities and differences between generations. Each photo pairs a parent and child, either a mother/daughter or father/son combo, side by side. Devoid of an elaborate background, Theilking's photos focus the viewer's attention on the subjects, who themselves aren't wearing any distracting clothing.

Hailing from Málaga, Spain, Melania is a breath of fresh air with her highly intimate works that are full of life and emotion. Just like other exciting contemporary artists her age, what makes Melania so great is her ability to let go of her inhibitions and allow her creative instincts to completely take over.
High Speed Liquid and Bubble Photographs by Heinz Maier
It never ceases to amaze me: just when I think I’ve seen every possible permutation of an artform or technique—be it figurative sculpture, stop motion animation, or in this case, high speed photography—somebody comes along and manages to do something radically different. German photographer Heinz Maier says that he began taking photographs less than a year ago in late 2010. He claims to not know what direction he’s heading in just yet, right now he’s experimenting with macro photography, mostly insects, animals, and these delicate high speed water droplets. Personally, I think he’s found a great direction. There are so many things happening here to make these photographs simply outstanding: the lighting, the colors, the occasional use of symmetry in the reflection of water, let alone the skill of knowing how to use the camera itself.
Sweet and Sexually Charged Photography (20 photos)
Originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Carlos Nunez is an LA-based photographer whose gorgeous shots can easily range from sweet and demure to downright sexy. You can tell that he has that rare ability to put his models at ease, making them feel free to express themselves and show us a side to them few people ever get to see. Take a look at Nunez's blog and you'll see shots we can't necessarily feature here on My Modern Met (in other words, NSFW). Sexually charged, the photos are a tribute to the empowered woman and her willingness to be unabashedly free. I was able to get in touch with the elusive Nunez to ask him a few questions.

One reason is that he transforms everyday objects found in flea-markets and car boot sales into works of art.He uses different scrap metals like rusted kitchen pans, typewriter keys, car lights and other refuse materials. What’s more is that he puts them together like a jigzaw puzzle.
