Contract - Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers From Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers Contracts prevent Practitioner-Client problems Traditionally, agreements between Clients and Practitioners of divination and folk magic are made on sight or by a hand-shake; however, if pre-paying a significant sum of money to an unknown Practitioner at a distance from you via the internet is a cause for concern, you may request that the Practitioner agree to a simple Assurance of Performance contract before you send your money. You don't need a contract to hire a hoodoo rootworker or spell caster. Not all AIRR Associates offer contracts. A Letter of Intent, setting forth simple agreements such as are found in the paragraphs below, is not intended as a replacement for a formal contract drafted by a lawyer, so what follows is not a sample contract, but rather a series of suggested paragraphs that can be used when assembling an individually crafted agreement between the Practitioner and the Client. Grimoires Sacred-texts home Wicca/Neo-PaganismEsoteric & OccultBuy CD-ROM Buy Books: Grimoires The name "Grimoire" is derived from the word "Grammar". A grammar is a description of a set of symbols and how to combine them to create well-formed sentences. A Grimoire is, appropriately enough, a description of a set of magickal symbols and how to combine them properly. Most of the texts linked below are descriptions of traditional European ritual magick, which is based on Judeo-Christianity. Even though this must not be confused with neo-Paganism, many of the neo-Pagan traditions use similar rituals and techniques, albeit with a different (usually Celtic) vocabulary. Note: These historical texts are presented for research and entertainment purposes only; we can't answer any questions about the material contained in them. Reconnaître un vrai médium, d'un fake. - Alice Kara Medium Coach Intuitif Bonjour mes anges !!!

Some Remarks on the Study of Western Esotericism Frithjof Schuon almost completely neglects western esoteric currents in the historical sense (cf. S.H. Nasr, ed,, The Essential Writings of Frithjof Schuon, (Shaftesbury & Rockport: 1986), 19-20, 233-261). 14 Here and in what follows I am never referring to the sacred in the Durkheimian sense of the word (on the difference, see W.E. 15 On this point, see Wouter J. 16 An excellent example is the French scholar Pierre A. 17 For example, no less than three thoroughly historical articles in Faivre & Hanegraaff, Western Esotericism and the Science of Religion significantly end with expressing hopes for cultural renewal: Arthur Versluis, "Alchemy and Christian Theosophic Literature," 141-144; Jane Williams-Hogan, "The Place of Emanuel Swedenborg in Modern Western Esotericism," 250; Garry W. 18 Contra Karen-Claire Voss, "The University as a Space of Possibility," Rencontres transdisciplinaires 12 (1998), 100-101.
Methods in the Study of Western Esotericism What is Esoteric? Methods in the Study of Western Esotericism By Arthur Versluis Until comparatively recently, there was very little scholarship on Western esotericism as a field. Faivre holds a chair in the École Pratique des Hautes Études at the Sorbonne in the “Histoire des courants ésotériques et mystiques dans l’Europe moderne et contemporaine,” and his work represents the first strictly academic overview of Western esotericism. Faivre’s six characteristics are, again, as follows: 1. With questions like these in mind, in his work on Christian theosophy, Arthur Versluis outlined six different characteristics, not of Western esotericism more generally, but of Christian theosophy alone. 1. The chief benefit of focussing on particular currents like theosophy is that one can achieve a reasonable degree of precision in determining whether a particular figure or school of thought belongs to the theosophic current by seeing whether it corresponds to these six characteristics.
