Less growth means less jobs, less prosperity, and handing future generations of Americans a country that doesn’t hold as much promise as the one that we grew up in. 5) We will have a world where the United States isn’t a super power. A small cut will need to be washed in soapy water and covered. In a survival situation, safe water for drinking and hand washing may be in short supply. If you live in an earthquake-prone area you should consider the types of injuries that are most common. Better to be trained and never need it that training, than to need it and have no idea what to do! Flood prone areas are more susceptible to the problems associated with the lack of potable water. High calorie/protein foods or supplements will be needed in a flood prone area. People living in fire prone areas might be exposed to toxic smoke and fumes and will need specialized medical supplies in an emergency. Survival medicine does not need to be fancy, just functional. Senior citizens have specialized problems as do middle aged adults.
