Quix - Your Bookmarklets, On Steroids الميغابكسل.. هل هو مقياس جودة الصورة؟ رماح الدلقموني كثيرا ما تتفاخر الشركات المصنعة للكاميرات الرقمية بمقدار الميغابكسل الذي تمتاز به كاميرتها، ونراها تبرز هذا الرقم كعامل مهم للتأثير على المستهلك في قرار الشراء، فهل حقا يؤدي ارتفاع مقدار الميغابكسل في الكاميرا إلى رفع جودة الصورة فيها؟ في عالم التصوير الرقمي تتألف كلمة ميغابكسل من كلمتين: الأولى ميغا وتعني مليون، والثانية بكسل (Pixel) وهي كلمة مركبة من كلمتين تعنيان عنصر الصورة (Picture Element)، وبهذا المعنى فالبكسل هو أصغر نقطة في الصورة التي تتألف بدورها من ملايين البكسلات المصطفة معا في إطار أفقي وعمودي بشكل متقارب يجعلها تبدوا كأنها متلاصقة. ويحمل البكسل لونا واحدا، لكن بوجود ملايين البكسلات التي تحمل تدرجات لونية تتشكل الصور، لهذا يبدو نظريا أن زيادة حجم الميغابسكل يعني زيادة دقة ووضوح الصورة، لكن ليس هذا واقع الحال، وأكبر دليل على ذلك أننا نجد في السوق كاميرات رقمية مدمجة يماثل حجم الميغابكسل فيها ما لدى كاميرات "دي.أس.أل.آر" أو يفوقه أحيانا، ولكن تكون الصور في الكاميرات الأخيرة أكثر وضوحا.
