This is partly to take advantage of the ever-recurring January potential of “new year, new beginnings”, and partly to get ready for the secret door projects store, aka. Well, it turns out that I have more than I thought I did… In sorting out the flat file, I turned up some edition copies of the American Woolen Co. print (which I didn’t even think I had any of for my own archives!) All this will be in the store when it is up! also notable in the past week or so: “Hunter Plaid Perspective” feat. and then Serena, Meg, & Will (we found another shirt!) [these images are a photo response to: "R U A Team Player?"] …and, last but not least, they have been tearing down the remaining 195 highway.

In case of flooding, this home does not simply drift off – rather, it rises up on the water but remains tethered to vertical guides that keep it from floating away, essentially the ultimate in luxury battery-powered life rafts. Yet another project sponsored by Bran Pitt and his Make It Right Foundation, this home is designed to be modern, stylish and sustainable but also to remain modest, functional and contextual. While it has not yet been (and hopefully will never need to be) in actual live flooding conditions, in such an emergency the structure would essentially break free of its footings as well as gas pipes, power lines, and other ties to the ground surface and city grid – carrying enough power for a few days and a safely elevated enclosure while its residents await rescue.
