15 Awesome Open Source Image Resources for Every Visual Project If your students want to find free images for whatever awesome projects they’re working on, there are plenty of choices. That said, we’ve taken at least some of the guesswork out of that search with this post. Today we’re sharing 15 of the open source image resources that caught our eye recently. These resources are fairly diverse in their content and have a lot to offer. Some are category-specific, and others are downright unique. No matter what, they can all bring creative visual enhancements to many a student project. How To Attribute Creative Commons Photos via Foter According to our research, more than 90% of Creative Commons photos are not attributed at all. To make matters worse, less than 10% of the photos that do credit the original work are attributed properly. This means that more than 99% of Creative Commons photos are not adequately attributed. Not without pride, we are happy to notice that most of the bloggers using Foter.com attribute CC photos properly, which is greatly facilitated by our “ready to paste” attribution info. Every time they intend to use a searched image, all they need to do is copy the image and the accompanying attribution details into their blogs.
