Human mind , soul and spirit Pat wrote:"The forum for talks about the intangible universe, the human mind, and the soul"I am very curious about what other people think the human mind is and what the soul is and spirit . Are they the same or different? What do they mean to you? Soul is my emotional consciousness, therefore when I am hurt I would say:"My soul hurts." Spirit is my driving force, my true self that guides me and supports me through life experiences. Mind is my watch, my computer, my calculator, my navigator, my passport, protector of my personality. My body is a vessel, boat where all three reside. Child, when born is Soul, Mind is system of knowledge and education, like an inner personal library or computer, Spirit is the same soul after experiencing Life and learning about self as it is, transformed soul, that has transcended this reality into the stable state of consciousness. Without body all this will not be possible, at least in this reality. That is how I see it at the time. Mirjana

5 Ways Stores Use Science to Trick You Into Buying Crap A big chunk of the world economy runs on human weakness. Peer pressure, vanity, insecurity, the fact that we just cannot resist the sight of melted cheese -- all of these will make us fork over our cash. And really, we're fine with that. But what you may not know is that there are some other, much weirder scientific principles that factor into what you buy. You Move in Predictable Patterns You step in the front door of your nearest chain grocery store. This is the only sheep-based image we'll use this article. This is because, after years of analysis of how humans move in a store, they've found that we're as easy to predict as animal migrations. Grocery stores are laid out to lead you around a set path you didn't even know you were following. "Boy, those fresh carrots sure did help me forget that everything in this aisle has been dead for weeks." And sweet lady Boxed Wine. Remember, the goal is to keep you in the store as long as possible, and to make you pass as many shelves as possible.

wait but why: The Apple Game: How Good a Person Are You? I’d like to introduce you to a game I’ve been playing with friends for years. It’s not a game really—more of an exercise. The purpose is to add a bit more depth to the question, “Are you a good person?” Here’s how it’s played:Treat a person like an apple, with three layers of depth— The idea is to label a person simply as either “good” or “bad” on each of these layers to create an “apple profile”—a quick sizing up of their goodness through and through. More about the three layers: Layer 1) The Apple Skin Definition: How you come off at first Who Knows Your Skin: Everyone who comes into contact with you, from a cashier you buy something from (that’s the outermost surface) to a coworker you’ve never really gotten to know (further inwards but still considered the skin). Questions to Ask to Know Whether Your Skin Is Good or Bad: – Do people tend to like you and feel comfortable around you when they first meet you? If most of these answers are YES, your skin is Good. Layer 2) The Apple Flesh

Color Psychology by David Johnson Like death and taxes, there is no escaping color. It is ubiquitous. Yet what does it all mean? Why are people more relaxed in green rooms? Psychological Testing: Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory - Psychological Testing and Assessment, Neuropsychology and Intelligence Quotient Testing Wikipedia Updated: Nov 10th 2010 The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) is one of the most frequently used personality tests in mental health. The test is used by trained professionals to assist in identifying personality structure and psychopathology. History and development The original authors of the MMPI were Starke R. The original MMPI was developed in 1939 (Groth Marnat, Handbook of Psychological Assessment, 2009) using an empirical keying approach, which means that the clinical scales were derived by selecting items that were endorsed by patients known to have been diagnosed with certain pathologies.[2][3][4][5][6] The difference between this approach and other test development strategies used around that time was that it was atheoretical (not based on any particular theory) and thus the initial test was not aligned with the prevailing psychodynamic theories of that time.
