Crochet mouse tutorial and free pattern Squeakers! Its finally here!! How to make your own tiny, adorable crochet mouse… just in time for Christmas! I found the best results with these mousies using 4ply sock yarn and a 2.5mm hook. I also made some with 3ply and a 2mm hook. I’ve yet to try this pattern with any heavier weight yarn, and I must admit I’m reluctant to, as I like the small size that the lighter weight yarn and small hook gives… I may well yet try one an even smaller mouse (squeakness… baby mice!) DIY Advent 5: Ethnic Wool Necklace DIY - Outfits, Shoes & Accessories Dana I often have ideas in mind, which are difficult to realize. With this necklace it turned out after the first attempt, the upper chain has to be shorter than the lower one, because otherwise the jewelry will not rest beautifully on the neckline. Material And Tools – For The Ethnic Wool Necklace You Need Wool (3 colors)Large-unit anchor chain (about 70 cm, from the hardware store)ScissorsForceps DIY Tutorial: The Step-By-Step Craft Instructions

by June Gilbank Don’t miss the launch discount, at the end of this post! Now it’s November, I’m so excited to finally be able to launch my new Christmas patterns that I’ve been developing for the past few months: a perfectly-shaped Gingerbread Man and Girl! Chunky and flat, just like the edible version, my Gingerbread Family are crocheted amigurumi-style (in a continuous spiral) and are almost seamless, so you have minimal sewing to complete them. Broomstick Lace Bracelet This weekend I learnt broomstick lace. I saw a photo of a broomstick cuff on Ravely but the pattern just says “work 3 groups of 5 stitches of broomstick lace for the length of your wrist.” which wasn’t quite the level of detail I was hoping for! As with the crocodile stitch I’d been putting off learning this stitch because it looked quite complicated and there seemed to be a lack of left-handed written instructions, and again once I got my head around it it was actually quite easy. The most useful instructions I found were detailed written instructions from dayliliescreative.com - as usual though the instructions are for the right-handed majority so I’ve created a photo tutorial here for all the lefties out there to even things up a little. I think completing this pattern with a fluffy or highly textured yarn would be a bit of a waste – you need a nice smooth yarn that will show up all the stitches.

Owl Granny Square Crochet Pattern I posted this pattern on my friend Kara's crochet blog, Petals to Picots, back in August in honor of her Granny Month. But I thought I would share it with you again and show you how the owl squares are being used! I made them into an owl bunting for my friend Shannon's owl-themed gender reveal party!
