Top Ten Books Every Leader Should Read The book "Change the Culture, Change the Game" notes, “In an era when change is the new gravity, it’s time to apply sound ideas.” We live in an increasingly interconnected world of shifting environments, agility, and innovation. As customers, workers, and partners continue to relate to organizations in new ways, it becomes especially vital for leaders around the world to react to this age of elevated connection by understanding how people interact. A 2012 Global IBM study of 1,709 CEOs, general managers, and senior public sector leaders in 64 countries suggested this change. In reference to CEOs’ reactions to the intricacy of interrelated organizations, markets, societies, and governments, the study identified the things that leaders must do to be successful in an ever-changing business landscape: • Empower employees through values, • Engage customers as individuals, • Drive innovation through partnerships, • Understand technology’s impact through disruptive innovation, 1. 2. 3. 1. 2. 3. 4.

Everything is Sound and Light, Plus Sigil Generation Technology Some might recall that last year I wrote a piece about 3rd, 4th, and 5th dimensional timespace perception based on various visionary experiences I’ve had throughout the years. All consciousness is part of a continuum and I’m quite sure I wouldn’t have had these sorts of experiences without the writings of people like Robert Monroe, Terrence McKenna, Robert Anton Wilson, and Grant Morrison forever stretching the parameters of my linguistic operating system. And that’s the main reason I put this sort of fringe weirdness on the internets – to directly influence the psychic hive mind grid of humanity and potentially create exotic experience in the reader. Anyway, apparently it works because I got a message on Facebook (friend me) from a dude named Andrew Cary linking me to this rather brilliant piece he wrote, partially inspired by my theories on dimensional perception. Finder – RFID Locator by Chu Wang, Qiujin Kou, Qian Yin & Yonghua Zhang Key Control Finder is a two-part RFID Locator comprising of the main terminal and tab stickers. Basically you are supposed to stick the tracking stickers to objects that you tend to misplace often, like keys, phone, wallet etc. Configure the sticker with the appropriate label on the main terminal and you are set to use it. No more lost keys again, yay! How To Look On The Brightside | Operation Beautiful By Caitlin, the editor of the Operation Beautiful site When I was younger, I was an overwhelmingly negative person. I generally thought the worst would happen, assumed other people would rip me off, and I said "I can’t" more than I’d like to admit. I held a lot of grudges. I was actually pretty mean to a few people. My attitude didn’t stop me from making really good friends and having excellent life experiences in college, but I always felt like something was holding me back. I realized that I could CHOOSE to look at life like it was half-full…. or even totally full! Count your blessings. How do you deal with negative noise and energy vampires? Ignore the noise as much as possible.
EdgeRank is one of the most important algorithms in marketing. Despite this, very few people have heard of it and fewer still can claim that they fully understand it. EdgeRank is the name of the algorithm which Facebook uses to determine what appears in their users’ news feeds. The news feed is Facebook’s ‘Killer App’. There is a plethora of information available to Facebook users, and the newsfeed is the order in which it appears. It determines which of your connections is the most important to you and thus appears most frequently, and which kinds of content should appear higher than others. Understanding the rules of the algorithm and changing your tactics to reflect the system can make the difference between a business changing campaign and an embarrassing failure. Let’s start off with the name. So, a status update is an edge; liking a status update, that’s an edge; uploading a photo, that’s an edge, too; or a change in relationship status? Carl Jung: In Defense and Critique Much has been said about Carl Jung over the years, and despite the fact that many now in psychiatry and even some therapists seem to find him irrelevant, the amount that has been written about his ideas belies this claim. So much as is possible in a short article, I would like to consider both his contribution as well as provide a possible critique of some of his thought. Through that I hope to highlight the value of relating to symbols as psychological facts. I think it best to begin with a psychological event that Jung himself considered important enough to mention in at least two of his published works. I was in a house that I did not know, which had two stories. To his thinking, this dream demonstrated the way that what he calls the collective unconscious overlaps the personal one, or perhaps, how it is all a progressive shade of grey without a single defining line, save the ones we bring. We can at this point move away from his own interpretation to consider it in its own context.

Become Resilient To Deal With Stress ‘Hidden brain signatures’ of consciousness in vegetative state patients discovered Brain networks in two behaviorally similar vegetative patients (left and middle), but one of whom imagined playing tennis (middle panel), alongside a healthy adult (right panel) (credit: Srivas Chennu) Scientists in Cambridge, England have found hidden signatures in the brains of people in a vegetative state that point to networks that could support consciousness — even when a patient appears to be unconscious and unresponsive. The study could help doctors identify patients who are aware despite being unable to communicate. Although unable to move and respond, some patients in a vegetative state are able to carry out tasks such as imagining playing a game of tennis, the scientists note. Using a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scanner, researchers have previously been able to record activity in the pre-motor cortex, the part of the brain that deals with movement, in apparently unconscious patients asked to imagine playing tennis. DIY Vertical Garden | How To Start | Gardening Tips ‘n Ideas A DIY Vertical Garden Example Ever since coming across Patrick Blanc’s vertical garden I’ve been interested to observe how this technology might transform the home gardening scene. I mean, it’s only a matter of time before we begin running out room for gardens to grow on a horizontal plane. Yet vertical – that’s another dimension altogether. For most home gardeners the concept isn’t a new one. The reason: Whereas all our other vertical gardening exploits centred around plants being grounded in the soil, the vertical garden has absolutely no dependency on the ground. But for most home gardeners, Patrick Blanc and his artworks are far beyond the comprehension and resources available to them. However, as we have already experienced with increasing gas prices our conservative views of the world may need to change. So, here’s a challenge for us all – myself included. A few helpful links to get your DIY Vertical Garden started The basics of a DIY Vertical Garden Conclusion
