The Shirt As with all these designs, try to start with a relatively clean, crisp bill. It will make it much easier. All folds should be sharply creased. It helps to go over the fold with a fingernail on a flat, hard surface. Start by folding the bill precisely in half lengthwise. (I prefer to fold in toward the front of the bill. Fold the bill one quarter of the way in from each side lengthwise. Turn the bill over. Turn the bill over again. Fold a little less than one third of the bill lengthwise from the opposite end as shown. Now you will fold inward in the same direction, tucking the previous fold under the "collar" created in step 4. Gently unfold the previous two folds, keeping the creases. (This step is hard to describe, but it is actually fairly easy.) (This is a close-up of what the fold should look like when complete.) (This is what it should look like after both sides are complete.) When you re-tuck the fold you've been working on back under the collar, you're done!

TrustoCorp – Satirical Upstart Art TrustoCorp. It sounds as if it might be a global organisation bent on domination from a film such as RoboCop or Blade Runner and perhaps they may just as well be. Although the truth is somewhat different very little is known about this mysterious artist (or perhaps collective). There are some for sure who know who TrustoCorp is (or are) they are keeping their lips tight shut. That aside, there is some information we can impart about the mysterious TrustoCorp. Quite what they want is also something of a mystery – however it is perfectly likely that they may not want anything more than to brighten up people’s day albeit in a somewhat mischievous manner. Although the satire is there – and it is sharp – it is directed at humanity in general and not at specific individuals, although you might occasionally recognize yourself as a target in their work. Yet, the fact that TrustoCorp’s arrow is aimed at the broadest of targets – all of us – it still hits its target with surpreme accuracy.

The Most Incredible Miniature Pencil Art [20 pics] Photograph by Dalton Ghetti / Solent News Dalton Ghetti is a 49-year old carpenter from Bridgeport, Connecticut, and he has been carving the most incredible miniature sculptures for over 25 years without the aid of a magnifying glass. His canvas? The tiny tip of a lead pencil. Dalton started carving tree bark when he was a child and experimented with everything from soap to chalk before settling on graphite. “The pencil tip is great; it’s like a pure, very homogenous material,” he said. Mr. Mr. “I use the sewing needle to make holes or dig into the graphite. Dalton, who is originally from Brazil, has a box full of more than 100 sculptures that have broken while working on them that he affectionately calls ‘the cemetery collection’. Mr Ghetti has made about 100 carvings, and is currently on an epic piece inspired by the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. “When September 11 happened I was in tears all day and couldn’t do much for a while.

Punishment and Consequences Punishment or Consequence? Natural Consequences or Logical Consequences? Punishment: suffering, pain, or loss that serves as retribution (merriam-webster.com) Punishment is something you do to your children. Consequence: something produced by a cause or necessarily following from a set of conditions (merriam-webster.com) Consequences happen as the result of cause and effect. The term "Logical consequences" has come to mean a consequence that is determined by a parent to be the logical punishment for a child's behavior or action. Natural consequences on the other hand happen without any effort on the part of the parent. Yes, there are natural consequences in life for adults and yes, there are natural consequences for kids, too. We all forget things, we all lose things, we all make mistakes. "Being kind to everyone includes being kind to our children, our partners, and ourselves. As Dana Ellis said, "Yeah, the whole "natural consequences" thing always annoys the shit out of me. Her work received 1st prize in category “Beauty: Pro” at the International Photography Awards. Notes about the artist (published at Flickr): “I always wanted to be a painter…I came to NYC when I was 17 to study Fine Arts at SVA… I sweated over large canvases, night after night, creating hyper realistic oil-paintings of nude men and women. I was angry, full of vigour, and aggressively against anything untraditional and “modern”. In the haze of hand stretching my canvases and egg-yolking my oil paints, I swore my lone alliance against photography, computers, and and God forbit, Photoshop! Project A couple weeks ago, I found a paint-by-number at an unbeatable price. I can't pass these things up even though I already owned this particular design. I thought that I could maybe use it to make a fun D.I.Y., but my new rule is that all thrifts that I purchase with the intent of restyling need to get done right away. Here's how I did it... I displayed our piece in our bedroom, on Jeremy's side of the bed. A couple weeks ago, I found a paint-by-number at an unbeatable price.

It’s a simple idea: Find some bad art, whether original or a print, for a song at a thrift store, then modify it to make, if not “better art,” then at least something that’s more entertaining to look at.
