on the cutting floor Free Sewing Pattern: Lisa Top Thank you for stopping by today. This is my newest pattern: The Lisa Top. I initially thought it as a crop... Northern Lights Capelet I knit this Northern Lights Capelet in the spirit of the earliest knitters, to bring light and warmth into the darker, colder months. Wear this cropped little cape under or over your coat, a streamlined layer that blocks arctic air from necks and shoulders and looks very pretty doing it! Knit up in a soft palette of Purl Soho’s beautiful Flax Down, this Capelet is a blend of baby alpaca, extra fine merino and linen. The subtle shades of the Nordic-inspired colorwork glow like a February sunrise. A perfect cure for the winter blues! -Gina

DIY Repurposed Denim Checkered Picnic Blanket — SUSTAIN MY CRAFT HABIT Before taking out my fabric scissors, I had to do some simple math calculations to determine the number of square pieces I was going to need for the blanket. I knew I wanted to do a quilt-inspired blanket. So here’s the math: 1. I chose the size of each of my finished squares to be 6” . I added ½” seam allowance to all sides which gave me a square template measuring 7” x 7”. Free sewing patterns Click on the photo to enlarge or click on the title to go to the sewing tutorial. The easy long cardigan, a staple in your wardrobe This is a super easy project. You’ll see that there isn’t a long tutorial because the design and construction are so simple.

Super Soft Merino Fluted Cowl Our Fluted Cowl combines two of our very favorite things: elegant drama and Super Soft Merino! If you haven't heard, Super Soft Merino is Purl Soho's new, very own yarn, and we couldn't be happier about it! A loosley spun single ply of 100% Peruvian merino, Super Soft Merino is beautiful, decadent and yes, super soft. DIY Plantable Felt Garden Box Hey, guys! It's Katie here. I recently made one of my most favorite toys for my kiddos and I just had to share! I have to admit, when this idea popped into my head I may have gotten a little overly excited. You see, one of our very favorite things to do as a family is tend to the garden, but since we live in the Midwest there has been none of that for many months now.
