Webpage Viewer lets you see any web page with chemical structures highlighted in the original page. Recognized formats are IUPAC names, common names, InChI and SMILES identifiers. A chemical table of contents is organized at the top of the page with the 2D structure image of all recognized chemical structures. To get started type or paste the URL of a web page, or pick an example from below. Recently viewed webpages Properties Viewer displays stucture based predictions for any chemical structure.

Physics and Flash Flash is well-known for producing spiffy animations. Not as well-known is how to use it for demonstrations in the sciences using proper mathematical equations to control the motions. Using proper Physics equations for animations is also useful for realistic games. Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program In the 1990's, some scientists proposed that certain chemicals might be disrupting the endocrine systems of humans and wildlife. A variety of chemicals have been found to disrupt the endocrine systems of animals in laboratory studies, and compelling evidence shows that endocrine systems of certain fish and wildlife have been affected by chemical contaminants, resulting in developmental and reproductive problems. Based on this and other evidence, Congress passed the Food Quality Protection Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) Amendments in 1996 requiring that EPA screen pesticide chemicals for their potential to produce effects similar to those produced by the female hormones (estrogen) in humans and giving EPA the authority to screen certain other chemicals and to include other endocrine effects. Based on recommendations from an Advisory Committee, EPA has expanded the EDSP to include male hormones (androgens) and the thyroid system, and to include effects on fish and wildlife.

Students at high schools and university can find any chemistry subjects in this site. I try to give brief information about topics covered in this site. Matters and properties of matter is the first topic of CT (Chemistry Tutorials). Classification of matters, decomposition of compounds and mixtures, phases of matters, properties and naming of simple compounds (Nomenculature) are subtopics of this part.

Physics Flash Animations We have been increasingly using Flash animations for illustrating Physics content. This page provides access to those animations which may be of general interest. The animations will appear in a separate window. This is a collection of Flash animations to make learning physics easier! They were created by myself and my students Jacquie Hui Wan Ching and Heather Welch, and Michael Timmins and , in the summer of 2003. Some of these flashlets are not quite perfect yet, but we’re working on it. Chemicals - Environment Additional tools What is the basis for concern? Reports of adverse changes in the physiology and behaviour of wildlife apparently linked to exposure to chemical pollutants released into the environment, and the suggestion that humans may also be at similar risk of adverse health effects, have fuelled growing concern about the extent of the risk posed by chemical EDs and calls for action to reduce such risks.
