ETEREA Swiss Knife 2.0 - Updated January 18, 2014 Update January 26, 2015 • Small Fix — I have included the last version of a script by Gianni Soldati aka Jeegrobot (“shapes_joiner.py”). Copy-paste what Gianni said: “I added just one line but it is important because it reset the cube commmand before launching it. Without this line sometimes the joined shapes is segmented”. Update January 18, 2014 • Small Fix — I have included the last version of a script by Ylaz (“loopslice_wEdgeRef.py”), which works slightly different. Resources In this section you will find a set of resources that I use regularly in my work. For the time being all are kits for Modo. Stuff that I initially created to put together lots of scripts made and kindly shared by other users. Step by step I learned also a bit of Python to create my own scripts. These kits are and will remain free to download. October 2017: After a long time using Modo 801, I've finally upgraded to 11.1, so I'll gradually update these kits. En este apartado encontrarás un conjunto de recursos que utilizo habitualmente en mi trabajo. Octubre 2017: tras años usando Modo 801, ya he actualizado a 11.1, así que ahora podré poner al día estos kits. SketchUp camera to modo camera I export obj using SketchUp6 Pro's obj exporter. In the obj exporter options I have units set to metres and "swap ZY co-ordinates (Y is up)" is checked. The model comes into modo the right size and the right way up. To export the camera, the steps I use are as follows: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. If you were using a 2-point perspective in SketchUp you will need to shift the film plane in modo. 7. If I have several cameras to transfer I keep SU and modo open and I just run steps 3, 4, 5 again for each, the old .py file is overwritten each time with the new values. You could probably modify the ruby script so it puts the python file in the modo scripts folder automatically, but the path will be different for each user.
