Vintage Kids' Books My Kid Loves: Counting Rhymes Counting Rhymes Art Seiden ~ Grosset & Dunlap, 1959 First off, I wanted to mentioned that when I went to read one of my favorite blogs this morning, Kickcan & Conkers, she mentioned another blogger named Hazel Terry and when I clicked over to her site, I instantly fell in love. I know I must have visited it before, but today, one of many reasons for my instant infatuation is the fact that she owns an original edition of the Ted Hughes book, Nessie The Mannerless Monster... oh my god oh my god oh my god. That said, today I'll share a tasty treat of nursery rhymes... perfect for the baby or emerging reader and illustrated by the tremendous Art Seiden. Two Little BlackbirdsTwo little blackbirds sitting on a hill. One named Jack, the other named Jill.Fly away, Jack! That ditty, in particular, will always hold a dear place in my heart as it was the first rhyme my son learned in kindergarten. Ahhhh. Also by:PuppiesTooters, Tweeters, Strings and Beaters

Songs & Poems Seasons Special Days Animals Vegetation Food Family & Friends Language Arts Math At School Poetry Collections I Love You by Dan Lukiv Other Note: All efforts have been taken to give credit to the authors of these songs and poems.
