Woman Thou Art God: Goddess Symbolism Within Freemasonry by William Bond

Woman Thou Art God: Goddess Symbolism Within Freemasonry by William Bond
A few years ago I came across a illustrated Freemasonry book in my local library and glanced through it, out of idle curiosity, I was surprised to find I was able to pick out Goddess symbolism within Mason images. Which was a surprise, because Freemasonry is suppose to be a male dominated secret society. So why would a organization that has steadfastly refused to allow female members within its ranks for hundreds of years, use Goddess symbolism? It didn't make sense. I began to read more about Freemasonry and found enough information about the connection between Freemasonry and Goddess worship to fill a book. This article is a taste of what I have discovered so far. I am myself am not a Freemason so any knowledge and understanding from this article, only comes only from my interpretation of Mason symbols. The Statue of Liberty was conceived, financed and built by Freemasons. The symbolism of the Statue shows she is a Sun Goddess. The above drawing is called Faith, Hope and Charity.

Symbols seen during spiritual experiences During spiritual experiences and visions, one comes into contact with forces and beings in various planes of the Universe. These contacts are translated and rendered by the mind in terms of symbols of daily life(i.e. waking consciousness). Here is an explanation by Sri Aurobindo of the various symbols one might see in spiritual visions. Interpreting the universe by soul signs He read from within the text of the without: The riddle grew plain and lost its catch obscure. A larger lustre lit the mighty page. (Sri Aurobindo.

Hebrew Roots/Neglected Commandments/Idolatry/Easter The Origin Of Easter[edit] Easter is an event that is honored by nearly all of contemporary Christianity as the resurrection of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah. This tradition is so well established that it is believed to have begun with the resurrection of our Saviour and instituted by His apostles in the first century in commemoration of that event. Actually, the apostles kept Passover until the mid 2nd century when a debate broke out about separating Christian celebrations from Jewish ones. Churches in the east still celebrated Passover (quartodeciman churches) while western churches began celebrating the resurrection on the first Sunday after Passover.

The Honest Courtesan The scientific mind is atrophied, and suffers under inherited cerebral weakness, when it comes in contact with the eternal woman—Astarte, Isis, Demeter, Aphrodite, and the last and greatest deity of all, the Virgin. – Henry Adams In ancient Rome today was Larentalia, the festival of an apotheosized courtesan named Acca Larentia; she was referred to as the “most noble whore” and was sometimes associated with Lupa, the she-wolf who nursed Romulus and Remus. As I discussed in my column of November 3rd there were a number of Roman goddesses who were associated with prostitution; Bona Dea’s rituals included what we would now call “two-girl shows”, Flora’s involved public orgies, Fortuna Virilis was worshipped by dedicated acts of low-class prostitution in public baths, and Ceres and Isis allowed streetwalkers to entertain their clients in the temples.
