Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) - Scalable Cloud Hosting
Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers. Amazon EC2’s simple web service interface allows you to obtain and configure capacity with minimal friction. It provides you with complete control of your computing resources and lets you run on Amazon’s proven computing environment. Amazon EC2 reduces the time required to obtain and boot new server instances to minutes, allowing you to quickly scale capacity, both up and down, as your computing requirements change. Introduction to Amazon EC2 (4:01) Amazon EC2 enables you to increase or decrease capacity within minutes, not hours or days. You have complete control of your instances. You have the choice of multiple instance types, operating systems, and software packages. Amazon EC2 offers a highly reliable environment where replacement instances can be rapidly and predictably commissioned.

AWS Management Console With Resource Groups, you can view collections of resources that share common tags. Streamline your use of the console by creating a resource group for each application, service, or collection of related resources that you work with regularly. Quickly navigate to each saved resource group using the “AWS” menu. Resource Groups are specific to each identity, so each user in an account can create unique Resource Groups for frequently accessed resources and common tasks. Users can also use a URL to share Resource Group definitions with others in the same account. Use the Tag Editor to easily manage tags for all resource types that support tags in any region. We are eager to hear about your user experience with the AWS Management Console.

Mandriva Burrito Bomber: The world's first airborne Mexican food delivery system Earlier this year, the world was brought to its knees when it was cruelly teased with the promise of tasty Mexican treats being delivered via quadcopter. We believe everyone deserves carne asada when they want it and so today, we make that dream a reality. We’re proud to introduce: Burrito Bomber -- truly the world's first airborne Mexican food delivery system. It works like this: You connect to the Burrito Bomber web-app and order a burrito. We built Burrito Bomber using a handful of open source projects and some new bits we created ourselves. The airframe is a SkyWalker X8 Flying Wing. The web app is built in Flask. Unfortunately, Burrito Bomber as a commercial product is not yet allowed under current FAA guidelines.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Cloud Computing Services Linspire Announcement - Xandros Linux WindowsDualBoot This page describes how to set up your computer in order to dual boot Ubuntu and Windows. Although this may seem obvious, it is important to back up your files to an external backup medium before attempting a dual-boot installation (or any other hard drive manipulation), in case your hard drive becomes corrupted during the process. External hard drives, USB flash drives, and multiple DVDs or CDs are all useful for this purpose. Some computer manufacturers that pre-install Windows provide a Windows recovery/re-installation CD or DVD with the computer. You may need to request a physical recovery/re-installation CD or DVD directly from your computer manufacturer. Once you have created a physical backup disc from a restore-image partition on the hard-drive, the restore-image partition can either be removed or left in place. When a Windows installation already occupies the entire hard drive, its partition needs to be shrunk, creating free space for the Ubuntu partition. Install Ubuntu
